Awesome quality color and subtle flavor. Perfect to make my achiote olive oil, for soups, on burgers and steaks and chicken. Good stuff.

This is consistently delicious. It is the only one I have tried or bought so I stick with it. Lots of allergies so finding Achiote without added spices was difficult and at a good price.

I was very satisfied with the freshness and clarity of flavor in this achiote powder. If you've ever tried to grind your own achiote from seeds, you know they are ROCK HARD and you can't even crush them with a pepper grinder. The solution is to buy pre-ground if you don't have your own spice grinder. Even though it's not as brilliantly fresh, this particular product is great. The aroma is great and it's absolutely necessary for some recipes, like Conchita Pibil. It adds a great floral, herbal, sweet bitterness that can't be replicated. Love it!

Good qualities

Good quality, but on the expensive size, a bit too much, even if there is the quantity. I did not need too much though. Good smell, seems to be freshly ground at least. Color is intense. Great to make sazon.

This is great for making yellow rice when you don’t have anato oil. To make yellow rice, 1 cup rice, 1 tsp achiote powder, 1 tsp salt (or to taste), 1 tablespoon oil. Optional: dash turmeric, bay leaves, saffron, dash MSG, truffle oil.

upping my spice game, these are some of the more important spices for authentic mexican food preparation. this brand sell very fresh spices, and come in a convenient resealable bag, as each one is big enough to fill a spice jar twice.
