It was just the correct size for my pony pump, i deliver water from my 45 gallon rain barrel and at times we get some debris in the water, since i just installed a drip irrigation for my garden I didn’t want to plug up the emitters with dirt so the filter was installed on my pony pump at the intake fitting that also protects the pump from any debris

We live on a farm and have awful well water. This helped my washing machine filters from clogging up so often.

We have set up a micro watering system that is fed via a pump from large rain water storage tanks. This simple filter has saved us from struggling with plugged micro watering heads. It is very easy to clean, traps a surprising amount of fine debris. A small investment that is WELL worth it!

FINALLY!! My garden irrigation kept getting clogged right before the timer splitter. This makes it so easy to clean those clogs!!! Saving my costly timer and saving me tons of time!!! Woohoo!!

Only been using for one week, but so far so good. Using outdoors before a hose timer. Much easier and faster to clean this screen than the cone shaped filter-washer inside the hose connection. Minimal effect on total gpm flow. As another user noted, the protrusion beyond the male threads makes it difficult or impossible to connect to some threads as some female connections are deeper than others. This was the case on my rainpoint hose timer. It was not difficult to dremel and sand the protrusion off, but I’m still stumped why it is present in the first place. In the attached image, you can see the modified filter on the left, and an unmodified one on the right with the protrusion beyond the male threads. You can also see the difference in female thread depths on the different hose timers. (No, there are not two washer seals on the green timer, the white you see below the red washer is plastic, and does not create a seal if the red is removed)
