Works well - recommended for multiple detectors
Connected with a set of 6 detectors without problems. Controlled each as promised. If you have more than 1 or 2 detectors, we do recommend this controller to simplify testing and monitoring.

Work great
These combo detectors work great. I love the 10 year batteries and the wall mount remote to turn them off when they are all blasting in unison! You still have to wait for the smoke to clear or climb up and push the button on the one going off , but it wouldn’t be much of a warning if it didn’t stay on until you silence it. Over all great product. Be sure to check fire code in your state for correct placement. Who ever had our house before apparent had no clue where they should go for the old ones we had.

Great value - 18 smoke alarms interconnected - work flawlessly in tests
I've installed 18 of these alarms. All interconnected. After reading the instructions a few times, it was easy to interconnect all 18. I then position them throughout the property and texted them to make sure they all went off. They did. I did multiple tests -- all worked well. The range is quite good -- I have a seperate garage from the house and no problems there. Very easy to install -- but if your install more than three I recommend you do a lot of planning. Be methodical. I labeled each alarm and noted the details in a spreadsheet. I also got three remotes -- and these were easy to pair and work flawlessly. Here's what I don't know yet: - how long will the batteries actually last. It's rated for 10 years. Time will tell. - if I need help will X-Sense be responsive to my needs. I dunno. I've read some reviews saying they do not respond at all. I hope these were one-offs. Will all combined I spent $380 on the alarms and remotes. I hope it proves to be a good investment. So far, so good. I give four stars because I can't evaluate I can't battery life. If the smoke alarm batteries work for at least 9 years, I'll be very pleased.

Why get a ladder to test or silence your X-Sense smoke alarms. Just use this.
Perfect to test and silence out-of-the-way X-Sense smoke alarms without needing a ladder.

Every interconnected alarm set should have this option!
This brand has really impressed me and the development of this remote was a very bright idea. Gone are the days of grabbing a broom or towel to silence false alarms. I easily connected six devices with this remote. My favorite feature is the ability to silence all but the one sensor that triggered the alarm. Size of the remote is small however, it does come with double sided tape to permanently attach to a wall. I placed mine in the kitchen since that typically is the source of any false alarms I may have. The remote feels like a good quality product and it does take replaceable coin batteries. I expect the battery will last quite a long time. You will not be disappointed if you buy this product.

Doesn't work
Basically useless. It doesn't work. I've emailed support and they just ignore me, responding with stock answers such as that the remote isn't paired with the alarms. However the remote can cause a test on all of them, it just can't silence the false alarms, which was what I needed, so it has to be paired.

Allows testing and reset of smoke/CO alarms that are not easily accessible.
I have seven X-Sense RF connected detectors, some of which are in locations that are not easily accessible from the ground. One is in my attic and another is high in the garage above my gas water heater. The detectors are 10-year life battery type. This X-Sense remote mounted on my kitchen wall allows me to test all my X-Sense detectors at one time and also reset any false alarms without getting out a step stool or ladder. I like the fact that if an alarm should occur then just one push silences all the alarms except the one detector that initiated the alarm. A second push of the button silences all. This allows for easy location of that detector where the smoke or CO was detected.

Remote ppears to work but design of whole system not well thought out.
The remote itself appears to work fine but the X-Sense system in general has rather poorly organized documentation (not to mention printed on tiny sheets of paper) and the whole system well thought out system design. For example, when purchasing, it's not clear at all if it is usable with both X-Sense Link and Wireless (requires using the app and a base system). I'm waiting for response from support (who has been responsive but they are out for Chinese New Year). So...it *is* looking like you can ONLY use this with detectors in the Link mode and if you want to use the app and get push notifications you cannot use the remote. This is unfortunate. I like the app and also like how it can send me notifications if I am out of the house or traveling. Link will not do that. I really wanted the remote for use by other members of the family who don't have and don't want the app or if we have someone from outside the family staying here. The remote would've been perfect for them to be able to silence false alarms (some of our alarms on very high raised ceilings. But.... it appears I can't use it unless I forego the use of the app and the advantages it gives. A better thought out design would allow flexibility and not limit which mode you could use which device in. I would have liked to be be able to use the remote in either mode. We don't always have a phone tied to our hips. .....and the documentation makes it worse. There's info there but it's scattered among documentation of various devices and not well organized as to the possible configurations you might consider for various components. It's like the two systems (Link and Wireless) were thought up separately and the two teams never talked to each other. This system has great features but they just need to tie it all together and make it work better. I like how I can get smoke alarms from our detached garage/shop whereas before I wouldn't know of a problem until it was too late or if I was out there. Our house is older so there was no wired smoke alarm system that tied all together. I now have that. I hope they fix these issues.
