It Really Does Work!
It works and is awesome; I’ll be buying 3-more my extended family!

Every québécois lake house has one
I ordered this purely for nostalgia, I’m from Quebec and as a kid I remember these on all the houses. However, surprised to see as an adult that they actually have a function! And it works! Maybe not as precise as the weather channel but I love peeking out the window to see how the stick is hanging today. Great quirky gift, would absolutely recommend this particular item/seller

Love these things
I remember my extended relatives giving me one of these as kids. I had forgot about them, then order some for myself and other family members as gift. They tend to struggle a little with our humidity but work well.

Seems to work o.k. (but not really "Canadian")
Item seems to work o.k. Important: the North American weather stick was invented by the Native American (and 1st Nation) residents of the NE USA and SE Canada. It is not specifically "Canadian" in the traditional sense of the word. It preceded the arrival of any European settlers north or south of the US/Can. border. Calling it a "Canadian" weather stick instead of just a "weather stick" only seems to serve to increase the price. But, if we are going to give it a proper name, let's call it what it is -- a Native American weather stick.

Memories
I purchase one for each of my girls. Their dad had bought one when they were little and were fascinated with it. They were very excited and put them up right away.

It Really Works
It really works. It takes a few days to get acclimated but it is spot on. And our hummingbirds love to use it as a perch.
