My previous review was not rosy because the new pump failed to start! Unfortunately Amazon return timeline expired already! Fortunately the manufacturer in Minnesota “Valley Industries” was incredibly kind. Thank you Mary! They sent me a new pump in 2 days because the pump was still under warranty. So have no fear the folks at Vally industries will be there for you.

Replaced an older pump that was still working on an Irontron 8 gallon ATV sprayer. The older pump had lost some pressure and this one works great. Total replacement time might be 10 minutes. Unit is very quiet. When I use this unit I usually spray fire ant killer, 2-4-d, or Roundup. Clean the unit after each use!!!! I get amused by people who rate a pump as not lasting very long but works good when it did. I have to believe that many users do not clean the tank/pump after each application. I learned the hard way, but now I do not have any issues with pumps. There is not a pump sold that will withstand harsh herbicide/pesticide chemical on the interior seals. If you clean the tank/pump after each use it will last a long time. Here is what I do: 1. Drain the tank of any remaining fluid 2. Add water to the tank and then drain it again 3. Add about 2 inches of water to the tank, power up the pump, and spray the water out 4. When the water hitting the ground loses the suds or soapy appearance the unit is now spraying mostly water. 5. Unpower the pump and squeeze the lever on the wand to remove the pressure inside the pump. 6. Store the unit for the next use. I always leave some water in the tank, but not in the pump. Good luck. It only takes less than 5 minutes to clean.

Product works as promised

I have been using these pumps to spray Roundup. First one had an issue with the relay, then started leaking. Second one had about 4 hours on it and just quit. Not sure why, and I haven't had time to troubleshoot except checking for power. No rebuild kit for this model seems to be available. I contacted Everflo and they responded with a list of a bunch of questions before considering warranty. No real help to get me back spraying. All I really needed was the rebuild kit to fix the leaky gasket, would even pay for it. All in all a waste of significant money and time. Imported junk. Actually the cheap harbor freight pumps I used to use lasted better, but weren't as strong. I thought this one would be the ticket. Bailing on this and going with a 3 point PTO pump.

This is the second everflo pump I have purchased, the first pump lasted a couple years of light use, there are much cheaper pumps but I stuck with what I knew. With the new pump I only used it a couple short times and noticed a lot of leakage from the head. Unlucky for me I missed the product return window. If I used the pump regularly I would have noticed the leak and sent it back earlier. I have attached a photo of the leak. The head screws are tight. I hope this helps.

I have used this pump for 3 months now as my main water pump on my houseboat. I noticed that it is marketed as a pump for spraying chemicals or barrel watering however it works great for RV water pumps etc. The preasure and gpm are great. Testing the pump I had 2 faucets and the shower running and still great preasure eventually my breaker kicked out because of excessive load but shows how hard the pump works. Easy to install just don't torque plastic fittings hard as they will crack because they are week(jb weld solved that problem) . This thing is a beast and I highly recommend it.

Pump on sprayer quit. Princess Auto could bring one in in 4 days for$100 plus taxes. Local farm implement store could order one for $75 plus freight with 2 day delivery. Bought from Amazon as priced at $43 w 3 day delivery. Pump arrived 2 days after ordering it. Put on sprayer and finished the field. This pump works great and has 40 lbs pressure. Only concern is the pump body is not sealed and it looks like chaff and dust could get into the armature but aside from that the pump was cheap, had lots of pressure and did the job. May buy another one as a spare.
