This was an absolute waste of money. The “chopper” completely fell apart on its very first use. Not only that, but it failed to actually cut through vegetables like advertised. The halved onion I was trying to cut got stuck on the blades making in dangerous to remove. In summary, I’d give it zero stars if I could. You’re better off using your regular kitchen knives because they actually work

The blades are genuinely sharp and it does a good job on soft to medium vegetables and things like hard boiled eggs. I use mine regularly for quick prep work and cleanup is fast. The plastic housing feels a bit light and I would not push it on really tough jobs. Works well as long as you use it for what it is designed for.

I've used slap chop since it originally came out years ago. I've used it only to chop nuts, which are hard on any cutting tool. Just now started getting kinda dull, so imagine my delight that slap chop is still being sold. Ordered it quick so I can continue nut chopping.

We bought two Slapchops, on a bogo offer, back when they were first seen on TV. Even back then, TV gadgets were notorious for not living up to their hype. The Slapchop was a great surprise. It was sturdy a single unit and did it ever chop! Two of them lasted over a decade of frequent use. The present day version is not even a shadow of a reminder of the first model. All of the improvements, like swinging open to clean the blades, only destabilize what was once a solid design. Not only is the plastic cheap, but all the hinges and moving parts make it rickety. I don’t see this thing lasting a week, never mind a decade. It does chop, however, and because of that, and nostalgia, it will be kept and used until it’s just too much trouble to bother with. I am now looking for a brand that is more serious than this one, which looks like a cereal box prize. Don’t waste your money by falling into the same nostalgia trap we did, folks. Look for a chopper that is a better quality and brand. It will probably cost less.

I bought this chopper originally for my mom as a gift (she had seen it on tv and wanted one)! She loves it and raved about it so much I had to buy one for myself! I love it! It works great! I do wish it was a little bigger so it could cut more at a time. But it’s still better than my large chopper that thing is a pain to clean. But the slap chop is so easy I just take it apart and throw it in the dishwasher love it! Highly recommended by both my mom and myself!

No me ha gustado nada, no era para mí, era para regalo, además se veía que no era nuevo, la caja estaba muy tocada, como si lo hubieran devuelto varias veces, algo que cuesta más de 40€ parecía que era un producto de bazar chino de 5 a 10€. No pagaría más por su falta de calidad y encima su embalaje estaba mermado. Una chapuza.

Well made. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Dishwasher safe. Compact and easily stored. Chops most things well. Good value for money. Would recommend.
