Almost 5 years buying this - Give it a shot.
I have purchased this protein mix for going on five years. Although it has not been five consecutive years, the taste is still the same. I have noticed the price has gone up, but at the same time what hasn’t? Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t taste like a Hershey’s chocolate bar. You can tell it’s a protein shake and it’s a meal replacement. I actually like the taste and I use a ninja blender to blend it not using hot water like I’ve seen in some reviews or even using a shaker cup. One thing I would recommend to change up the flavor if you are not a fan of it is to add a little bit of Truvia, unflavored almond milk, frozen strawberries, frozen, raspberries, or really any sort of frozen fruit you would want. You can also mix it with unflavored almond milk, a little bit of Truvia and a very small amount of mint extract if you’re a fan of mint chocolate, flavored ice cream. I have noticed some mentioning it’s a bit gritty but if you use a blender to mix it up, it typically gets rid of the greediness. The nutrients is great. It’s definitely mixed with a bunch of vitamins and I have noticed it doesn’t bother my stomach at all. I don’t have a gallbladder so a lot of things actually can’t bother my stomach, but this is one thing that doesn’t. I would definitely recommend giving this a shot and trying different avenues to make it taste different if your first go around isn’t for your flavor palette.

Excellent protein powder
Protein powder is high quality and contains numerous vitamins and minerals. It is well sealed with both an outside protective seal and an internal seal. The powder is smooth and can be added to pretty much any liquid. I make it simply with water and have had it both at room temp and after chilled in the freezer. Both are tasty with no residual or chalky taste, there is not a strong chocolate or chemical taste either or any aftertaste. Like any protein powder fruits, veggies or other items can easily be added. Because I am using only water, I simply shake my container for 15-30 seconds and it is well mixed, but a blender may be a better choice if other items are being added to the powder. The powder dissolves easily and completely with simple manual shaking (I just mix it in room temp water with manual shaking for 15-30 seconds in a refillable water bottle). The amino acid distribution is good and the vitamins and minerals included is impressive. This could be considered both a protein and vitamin supplement.

The chocolate flavor overpowers the protein "taste"
Does it taste like protein powder? Yes, but only slightly. Is it better tasting than most? Yes, most definitely! I don't enjoy protein drinks at all, and I've tried different ones including orgain. Out of all of them though, this one tastes the best. I think it may be because the chocolate overpowers the "taste" of the protein shake. I don't enjoy it water, so I mix it with milk for a tastier drink and more protein. This does tend to clump so make sure you use a shaker bottle or frother. I usually drink the protein an hour or so prior to exercise and it definitely gives me more energy and endurance. Would definitely recommend!

Not a meal replacement on its own, but works great with some add-ins
Both flavors are good, especially mixed with 1 cup of almond milk. While the calories in this item alone aren't sufficient to be a meal replacement, that leaves plenty of room to add-in your favorite fruits, vegetables, or other flavor enhancers (like peanut butter or pecans) to make it into a smoothie. I like to supplement this with baby spinach to increase the calcium and iron and then some kind of frozen fruit. I found the nutrition and ingredients to be extremely similar to that of Shakeology, but for a fraction of the cost. The mixed smoothie tends to be a tad bit thinner in consistency than Shakeology, but with the addition of some collagen powder or ground chia seeds, it's nearly identical. I found that the smoothies fill me up, and I don't get hungry for about 3 hours.

What happened to the Vanilla?
This is a great tasting protein & vitamin supplement. I mix it with other things like instant breakfast and chia and flaxseed. The stevia it’s made with is from plants so it’s not harmful to you like other artificial sweeteners. The big problem is for some strange reason they seemed to have discontinued the vanilla flavor. I even called the company and they said they still make it. Well I hate to tell them but it’s not available anymore anywhere. There’s a few places like eBay that are trying to rip you off for the few remaining ones left at ridiculous prices but I’m not that desperate. I’d just like to know why they have the chocolate but not the vanilla.

Delicious and priced right
This protein shake is so good. I have bought the chocolate and the vanilla but the chocolate is my favorite. I have one every morning and I can thicken it up a little when I either add a few ice cubes or a piece of frozen banana to my unsweetened vanilla almond milk and put it in the blender. Comes out thicker. I read in another review that it helped the person's GERD and it helped mine too! So feel it is a very good product and would recommend it.
