Excellent quality, unique design, very cool company
I wrote this company (MUUV) an email before I purchased this to ask if the product contained any of the manufacturing chemical "Thiourea", to which I'm allergic. In a day, I received an authoritative, straightforward answer: --- Hi Sierra, Here is some information to your question. Our EPE products do not contain thiourea. Thiourea is a sulfur containing derivative of urea. Some compounds used in textile processing contain thiourea. Other compounds like ethylene thiourea are used as curing accelerators for certain types of elastomer adhesives. Again, our EPE products are free of thiourea. We hope this answers your question. Thank you, The MuuvSport Support Team --- So I went ahead and ordered this roller. As promised, it's not triggering any touch allergic reaction for me, nor does it smell like formaldehyde, which is a deal breaker for me. At least half the fitness equipment out there offgasses formaldehyde or puts chemicals onto your skin, or both. It's pretty brutal looking in the picture, but it does have give to the foam and the bigger diameter makes the roller gentler to use than the six-inch rollers can be. It's perfect for rolling the spine of a healthy person. As far as other rolling uses, I haven't yet tried them. I'm hoping this roller lasts for a long time. I think you could crack the foam in two over your knee if you really tried, but with reasonable care, this should stay in nice condition indefinitely. Potential improvements: Maybe make a silver one in softer material, scaled down 10% for the ladies. This thing could work for a professional linebacker, which says something about its quality. Also, a softer one might be nice for physical therapy for elderly arthritis patients like my father.

Better than all the others
I bought 4 other rollers/stretchers trying to get rid of my lower thoracic back pain. After a long day my back is a painin' and I'm not getting any younger. I am a large (265lb, 6'3") 46 year old male. I lead an active lifestyle. I'm guessing I have crummy posture, but I find that if I'm leaning over to prepare food at the counter, or pushing a lawnmower or even standing in one spot fishing my postural muscles in the middle of my back get really sore. I noticed that having a massage helps it, so I thought maybe I could roll it out ot stretch it.. I tried the Chirp rollers ($120) and felt like I was going to injure myself because of how thin they are, like I was going to fall off or maybe it would flop on it's side. They put too much pressure on my back and never felt like they were doing much. I tried my wife's foam roller with little to no results, it wasn't sturdy enough and just kinda mushed under me. I tried one of those adjustable back stretchers that are kind of semi-circular with almost no results. They might be better for lumbar stretches, or maybe for women or smaller frames men. I tried a rigid foam semi circular lower back stretcher with similar results.. I thought to myself there had to be something out there that could give me the same relief that a massage does. I saw this foam roller thinking well maybe it'll be okay. If it works it's worth it. When it showed up I was surprised to how large it was. I thought it was going to be too aggressive, but it turns out the large diameter actually works to my advantage in that it's not aggressive in massaging my back. I thought the fact that it was made out of some kind of fancy styrofoam was going to make it weak and brittle, but it can handle my 265 lbs just fine. I love how wide it is so that I don't feel like it's going to tip over on me and I can actually lay my arms on it if I feel like I need a little bit of extra support. Whoever designed this is my new hero. After using it for less than a week I'm already noticing substantially less back pain. I mowed my lawn today and used it right after, and while I don't feel perfect I feel so much better than last week when I didn't have this at my fingertips. If you've tried all the other stuff and have thoracic back pain this is a godsend. I wish I could give it 6 stars

Excellent tool for stretching/loosening back and I have tried them all!
I lift weights and do quite a bit of different exercises and have found as I get older that mobility/recovery is becoming more and more important. That being said, I quite often have a stiff back and need to stretch it out. I have tried many self massage tools, but could never find one that felt like it could really do my whole back and provide a substantial stretch until I tried the Stealth roller. This roller is very firm, something I was not sure of until I actually received and tried it out. Following the included guide I was able to get a great stretch all the way from my lower to my upper back. What really caught my eye with this tool is that it will stay aligned all the way up your back as you roll and really gets the muscles along the spine. I am not aware of any other roller design that does this. I have also tried it on my upper legs and it works well also. My only recommendation is that when starting out on your lower back with this tool -- Go easy at first as it will definitely stretch you out and you may feel some soreness the next day. It definitely does what it is supposed to do. This is a heavy duty massage tool and worth getting to increase mobility. I use it several times a week.

nice.
Not bad. I love how high it is - makes hamstring rolling easier, as well as more of a fuller back stretch. Rolling the IT bands is also very nice, the angle of the sides really hits the spot nicely. The middle of the roller is great for that hard to reach middle back area, and offers a good dig on the knots. My only complaint is that (for me personally), its overall too soft... I love the design and how well thought out it is for hitting important areas with lots of room to get creative. If this company ever makes an overall stiff/solid version with a VERY solid middle, it would be heaven for me. Will keep an eye on this company.
