Works Great, but maybe not for everyone
This item works great for anyone with pain in their hands, arthritis, joint pains. It helped my mother with her arthritis and helped reduce swelling in her hand. Worked so well that 4 other of her friends purchased it. It's not for everyone though, the pressure can be hard to take for some, for it's very strong grip. If you can withstand it, it's a great item to have. It's very simple to use and if the grip was ever to strong you can reduce the pressure, there are 3 settings for that. There is also a quick release button. The pressure the machine does is about as strong as when you get your blood pressure taken. The unit applies pressure slowly up to a threshold and then deflates slowly. So basically a blood pressure like item but for your hand. There is also 3 heat settings, wish the heat was stronger but it's warm enough for this. If anyone is concerned about the use of this item, I would check with your doctor first. Overall great gift and great item to own. Would purchase again. Don't go with any other Brand either, not all the same, trust me.

I'm Impressed (And A Little Surprised)
I have some fairly bad issues with my hands. After 30 years of working on computers, I have some swelling, arthritis, etc. I've gone to physical therapy, gotten massages etc., but those things are very expensive. So I decided to try this strange device. After owning it for about a week, and using it multiple times a day, I'm quite happy with it. It's not some magical cure, but it does make my hands feel noticeably better, and that's a great thing. It's a strange device, and the documentation that comes with it is terrible. Basically you put your hands in a little glove that comes with it, and insert it into the machine, and turn it on. It starts up immediately, and by default it will give you 5 minutes of treatment. It will compress on your hand (which is kind of scary the first time), heat your hand, and then sort of give it a massage using pressure points. The pressure points are like a waffle-iron. In fact, when you remove your hand, it looks like it has been in a waffle iron (but the dots go away in 15min or so). Configurable is the length of the session, whether it heats or not, and how much compression. I think it will fit virtually any hand size. I've got pretty big hands, and it could accomodate hands much larger than mine. Smaller hands are fine too. I can definitely recommend this device. Like I said, it's not a magical cure, but for me it does improve how my hands feel each time I use it.

Nice little machine
First of all, the first machine they sent was most likely a returned item. It came alone in the box with a small black cable that did not fit the machine and the top of the unit was all scuffed. I returned it and Amazon sent out an immediate replacement. The second machine came as shown in the picture I have included. It was in a white cloth like bag in a clear plastic support tray with a white cable and wall adapter and small instruction book. The first one had none of these which tells me either Amazon or the company selling this is trying to sell you a returned, damaged item. Is that why they don't show a picture of all the items included? If you receive a unit like that, immediately return it. You are not paying for a returned unit and should only get a new one. Of course I would have given it one star for that but I decided to give them one more chance to do it right and Amazon did. The second unit was obviously new so next on the list was to try it out. When I wake up in the morning I cannot straighten my fingers without it feeling like they will literally break. I had charged the unit over night so it was ready to go. One annoying thing is that the company (in china) that makes these includes an instruction book that is only 4 inches by 3 inches big. I am thinking that most people who use this have arthritis and are therefore older. I had to put magnifiers on to read it. Minor problem but still annoying. The machine is set up on a default mode of 5 minutes, low to high air pressure cycling and high heat. That is probably adequate for most people. I however ended up wanting only high pressure, which felt very nice. Don't worry, it won't get high enough to damage your hands. The heat only happens in the palm area and the highest setting is about right but I wish it was in the fingers too. I solved that by first putting my hand all the way in (push it in till your fingers almost reach the end hole and the bump is in the center of your palm) and then doing a second cycle by pulling my hand back until my fingers rested over the palm bump. Doing it that way I got both my palm and fingers heated and compressed nicely. I would recommend sitting with your hand in the unit and reading the instructions while experimenting with the buttons till you understand all the options you can do. Otherwise, the default setting should be adequate for most people. The only other reasons I can see that people would give only a 1 or 2 star for this is that there will always be people who find something to complain about. It works as advertised and feels good to loosen up your hands if they ache. Now that said, like any heat, massage (squeezing) done on any arthritic joint, it only lasts as long as the heat lasts. But take advantage of the heat and do some arthritis hand exercises while your hands are warm. The exercises will help our hands stay limber longer than just doing the heat and nothing else. I am totally happy with this unit so far. Now we will see how long this "Made in China" product lasts.

A hand massage I am addicted to
Updates: Fail to power on after couple of more days after I wrote the review, I have to remove two stars since it was so fragile and not durable. This is another Breo product I had in addition to an eye massage which I had used for almost two years already and it still worked as a charm. I would assume the same quality for this hand massage as well. The most favorite part for this hand massage is its exactly right pressure on my palm, I am enjoying its pressures on my hand and definitely helped the circulation. After work, I used to feel sore and tired on my hand but after used it about 15 min each hand everyday, I felt so relax and rest of my hands. I had used it everyday since I received it and the battery powered without any wire seems to be pretty durable. It still works after a week and half without changing the batteries. I am very happy to find this massager so far.

My Wife and Myself get relief with this product
I suffer with arthritis and diabetic pain in my hands. Also, my hands have periods of numbness to where I cannot operate a computer mouse. I started using this a few days ago and I have seen great results in one hand and some improvement in my other hand. I bought this on a whim and I am now glad that I did. My wife works at a computer all day and her hands bother her at night when she goes to bed. We are both fighting over who gets to use this first. She always wins, but the point is that we are both receiving some relief with this product and we are very happy with our purchase. Update: Others had noted not much heat when using this device. I had noted that as well. I had been using the battery option just for the convenience. I decided tonight to try the included power adapter. I found the heat works great with the adapter. It has three setting off, med, and high. The heat was a big plus. A great product....We love it. Another note is that using the included glove improves the experience.

Greatest item I’ve ever bought.!
I don’t know how it works, but I know it works.! I bought it for my Pastor who suffers tremendously with arthritis in his hands, he has a terrible loss of blood flow in his hands. And the color of the skin was pale, he could hardly move his fingers.! Well I was desperate then I saw the add for this hand massager and said what the heck, it’s worth a try. So I bought it for him. And within a few days the terrible pain he had lived with for so long was less than half the blood flow was increased and the skin color was almost normal, and he could move his fingers he had feeling in his fingers again. Now is he completely healed ? Absolutely not! But his quality of live is greatly improved. THANK YOU BREO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Versatile and Affordable
I waited for a few months to post my review. I originally purchased this massager for my neck and shoulders, but it’s great on my lower back, as well! The heat is not intense, so don’t expect to sweat. However, in the colder months, this is really nice on my back. It automatically stops after 15 minutes, but you can start up again for a different area, if you need to. It plugs up perfectly in my recliner and I have a nice spa day for myself with this massager on my shoulders.

Hated it then I loved it
My father bought one each for me and my mother. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and finger joint pain, and my mother has trigger finger and finger joint pain as well. We've both been using ours almost daily now for a few months, and while it hasn't drastically changed our symptoms the massage does bring temporary relief. The massage is more like putting your hand in a blood pressure cuff until you lose circulation then releasing pressure on repeat. Even on the lowest setting I still have to manually release pressure because it does HURT. When I first tried it when my CTS was its most severe, I couldn't last more than 10 seconds with it and wanted to return it immediately. But over time I was able to tolerate it better so I would suggest giving it another chance. The heat setting kicks in after two 5 minutes sessions so that's disappointing because the heat setting makes the massage much better. For reference my mom and I are tiny Asian women so small hands can definitely tolerate this massager. It's not a replacement for physical therapy or a hand massage from a person, but it's a massage at your convenience :)
