The Colossal Spider Effect Mascara

This is the thickest and most effective mascara. Even though it is washable, I use a makeup remover because it is very thick. It stays in place all day and doesn't flake. This is my favorite mascara - and I've tried them all. If you like thick long lashes, this is the one for you. It is a little clumpy but that's the effect I want for a dramatic dark look. I use the Glam Black and have not found any as dark or as thick as this one.

This is my favorite mascara. I use this with my makeup look daily. It does a great job at making my lashes look extremely full and even a bit lengthy. It’s the ONLY mascara that’s ever been able to make my short & thin lashes look so defined. Even my high end mascaras can’t compete with this product. I hope it stays in production. I’m having trouble finding this in department stores or even pharmacies now which led to me making my purchase here.

Remember when the worst thing was to have spider lashes? Now, apparently, it's a thing. I actually always liked the look of spidery long lashes. I have medium length, straight thin lashes and I like lots of length and volume but never get both in one mascara. I saw an ad for this Maybelline mascara and decided to try it because I try many mascaras looking for one that I will love so much that I will never stray. Hasn't happened yet. This mascara is really dark and does lengthen my lashes a lot. It gives them a spidery appearance that isn't weird or unsightly. I like it. It lacks volume though as I expected. Spider lashes usually don't have much volume. It gives me some and builds up my fine lashes but, to get the look I want, I use a volumnzing mascara first then use this mascara. I get a little volume and then I get long fanned out lashes. They're still not as long and dramatic as I would like but they they're not heavy and they don't flake. The mascara is a little wet so I have to be careful when I apply it or else it will smear and cause me to throw a tantrum. Once it is on, it is buildable and I can easily apply three coats and there is no clumping at all. It does seem to sort of disappear a bit after several hours. I don't know where it goes but my lashes look less intense and less made up. It comes off fine with cleanser or eye makeup remover. The spider lash look is not for everyone. You have to like, well, the spider lash look. I do and I like this mascara. It's not my favorite but I do like the length I get and the separation of my lashes.

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE mascara. It's a shame that the department stores aren't carrying it anymore. PLEASE BRING BACK MY SPIDER EFFECTS MASCARA, MAYBELLINE. :(

I’m such a HUGE HUGE fan of maybellines Colossal mascara line. I have never seen this kind advertised in my area and didn’t know it existed until I seen it on Amazon. So I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately this is nothing like their other options. This was wicked messy and caused my lashes to clump, not separate. Even using a little bit by scraping the brush, it wasn’t at all what I expected. Unfortunately I will need to send this back. It’s not worth then$10. But I will continue to buy their other products in this line. Their other mascaras make my eye lashes nice and full and lengthens them to my desired look.

I’ve used this mascara for years & really like it!! Since the grocery store cosmetics aisle has gotten so FULL of all the various items, it’s nice to find the mascara that I use on Amazon! It makes it easier for me & no more searching the long cosmetics aisle at the grocery store!
