This little fan is a must buy!
Can’t believe I waited so long to buy this! The size is perfect to throw in a bag for traveling. The speeds are actually very powerful for the size of this fan. Fan is very lightweight and will cool you off in no time. Charge will last for a lot longer than I expected. Would make a great gift! Love the relaxing noise it makes for night time or napping. Great quality and such a great price point.

Best portable fan.
Great fan, you can’t just beat the size of the blade with those smaller, and heavier, turbo fans. I tried these turbo fans as well and when outside in the hot and humid weather the bigger fan size just works better, air is moving over a bigger surface area. It also folds to a more compact size making it easier to fit in one of your pockets. It’s lighter partly because of the smaller battery, which is smaller than listed but still plenty. We used it during the day in 90-100 high humidity weather and it helped stay a bit cooler. It can also be put in a table and give you a nice breeze when having lunch in a warm restaurant, which was really really nice. Overall give this fan a try, I ordered all this fancy fans and ended up using this during my trip.

A great hand held fan!
My friend came to visit me in SWFL at the end of July, it was the hottest week of the year. While she was here she told me she was going to order this fan to use while sitting on the lanai or at the beach. I was skeptical on how well such a small rechargeable fan would work. She said that she had bought one a few months prior, and it was amazing, but it was at her house. She spoke so highly about it, I decided to order one as well. It did not disappoint. It charges quickly and has three fan speeds to choose from. Low, medium, and high, all put out a good amount of air. If you’re looking for a handheld rechargeable fan, I would recommend this one.

This little fan is a wonder !
This little fan is a wonder !! This is the 2nd one I've purchased. I've used it overnight for sleeping--it runs for over 8 hours without quitting on the slowest speed (it is so powerful, I rarely need a higher speed, even when placing it 3 feet away). We've had 90-100 degree weather lately & I've run it all day plugged in--24 hours--and the little wonder keeps running, & doesn't overheat. On the slow speed it almost can't be heard it's so quiet ! The higher speeds aren't very loud, either. A while back, I bought one of another brand that doesn't work nearly as well. The wire stand that comes with this one is kind of a pain to use, but the fan balances on the handle just fine without it. It can be adjusted in all sorts of ways, angles, to satisfy any need. I thought I got a plug-in charger for the power cord to plug into with the first one, but not this 2nd one. Either I'm mistaken & the plug-in didn't come with it or the company stopped including it--either way, I have the first one so that's fine. All in all, I won't be buying any brand of hand fan other Version Tech. As Mikey says, "try it, you'll like it" !

My Little yet Powerful Life Saver!!!!!!!!
I am sooo happy that I came across this item. I literally carry it with me all the time. I have hyperhidrosis and if that wasn't bad enough, due to my kidneys not working properly I sweat even more so I've been in serious need of this. Even though I stay with my ice cold water (8 bottles or more a day), eating ice chips and lots of paper towels to dry my face, neck, etc, it doesn't matter. I just couldn't take it anymore. No joke, the few times that it does get cold here (south florida), it just doesn't touch me. I am basically walking around with a wife beater shirt and I'm still sweating. I even sweat while sitting in front of a fan, with the ac on. I'd had enough and needed a portable solution, my body was, is, literally overheating. Plus, I really got tired of when I would walk into a building, people seriously would ask me if its raining out. It was just so frustrating not to mention embarrassing as it would obviously draw unnecessary attention to me. I would constantly feel compelled to explain myself. Then finally in comes this fan, my life saver. It holds a charge for a very long time but I still charge it every night just to be on the safe side. Also, the force of the air is powerful and really cool, not just hot air blowing at you with some of the little weak fans. Nope, this reminds me of those oscillating standing fans, its got the same power. I catch myself trying to sing directly into it but it doesn't produce the same effect as the bigger ones. Some people know what I'm talking about. The point is, I LOVE THIS, I needed this and I am beyond thankful for this. No more explaining. If anything people look at me now like I need to go get one of those. Nothing but LOVE for this. Thank you so much Amazon and VersionTech!!!!! Oh, and had to add, after I introduced my Mom to this she instantly realized what great gifts they would make. Who wouldn't love this especially if you live in a hot climate. Money so well spent!!! GET IT!!! GET IT NOW!!! If you are like me and have issues with sweating, go, SAVE YOURSELF and get this NOW!!! It will change your life. Seriously, it makes such a difference. Thanks for reading!

Replacement fan works as expected
Updated 8/17/25: The manufacturer emailed me last month after seeing my review and offered to send me a replacement fan since mine was obviously defective. I'm happy to report the new fan has worked well with no charging issues so far. So I'm updating my review and rating since the customer service was excellent and the new fan is working as expected. I used this maybe once or twice and then it stopped working and wouldn't charge. A year later and it still won't charge.

Upstarring my review
🖍Updated review: The exposed wires don’t seem to be an issue. I use this to prevent my iPhone from overheating when I absolutely must use my iPhone while running hot (those racing apps aren’t going to play by themselves). In the time I’ve had this fan, I’ve charged it twice. I don’t keep it on the charger, and yet the battery holds the power without losing strength between charging a. The breeze is very strong. Yes, it has exposed wires, so I would strongly encourage users to use it indoors where it’s dry, and not in the rain. But I am pleasantly surprised by the battery endurance and fan’s strong breeze. And might I also add that I only use it on the lowest setting, which is still very powerful. The other brand I purchased does not compare to this fan in wind velocity or battery life. So I do recommend this fan. 🖍 Previous review: Let me point one thing out to prevent confusion that I fell for. The photo of the cord on the first page is not a two-pronged plug. If you zoom in, you will discover that photo is a mini USB plug. I do not believe they were deliberately trying to trick us into believing it was an electrical plug for a standard United States outlet. You will need a charger, since one was not provided. Straight out of the box, the fan works fine. It has three settings, and all three work with the push of the button. This is trivial, but if you only use the first setting, you have to cycle through two higher settings before turning it off. The fan is not very loud on the low setting, but if you are in a quiet place, like a church or funeral, the medium and high settings can be audible when you use them or cycle through the settings to shut the fan off. It seems like this fan was once a AA battery fan that has been reconfigured into a rechargeable fan. There is a battery cover along the length of the handle on the side. The clip of the battery cover has a tiny screw that prevents the user from removing the battery cover without a special odd-shaped tiny screwdriver. What this tells me is they had a bunch of AA battery powered fans laying around, but they couldn’t sell them unless they were rechargeable. So they added rechargeable battery packs, fixed in a tiny screw, and resold them as rechargeable. So I don’t have a lot of faith in the quality of the rechargeable battery system in this fan. I have a few more issues with this fan: When I plugged in the fan, I noticed the mini-USB plug was sticking out a bit far. I don’t know if this is a hazard, but I felt it should be mentioned. USB plugs (or any plug) should fit flush against the item it is charging, without exposure to electrical elements. The fan is charging now as I type, and I notice a faint red light that I assume is the charging light. There’s a hole in the fan that allows me to see the light as I turn the fan at an angle, but they didn’t seem to put much effort in the charging light. Will it turn green when it is fully charged? [EDIT: Yes, the light does turn green when the device is fully charged.] One of the first things I noticed about this fan is the exposed wires in the fold of the handle. I don’t know what would happen if this gets wet. There is also a single frail-appearing wire beside it, that I’m afraid will eventually break. With the constant folding and unfolding of the handle, I’m quite sure some of these exposed wires will fray, rendering the fan useless. The fan is designed to fit on the ribs of an umbrella. I assume the umbrella they meant for this fan was a parasol that protects the user from the sun. I haven’t tried this on an umbrella, because I purchased this fan to cool off my very overheated iPhone. The fan does the job I intended it to do, and does so on the lowest setting, which should theoretically prolong the life of the battery. We’ll see. The fan is provided with a metal “clip” that fits into the handle, but when I attached the clip, I discovered it to be very flimsy. It’s basically a bent piece of wire, which will undoubtedly wind up in my junk drawer that I call a “garbage can waiting room”. The bottom of the handle has a strap-handle hole. I’m sure with the right strap that is long enough to be worn around the neck, the user could bend up the fan toward the face, that should provide hands-free air. But I haven’t tested this theory. No strap was provided with this fan. [EDIT: The fan bends downward, making this idea a dud.] As I mentioned, I purchased this fan for my iPhone. I also bought a smaller fan (from a different company) so I can be charging one fan while using the other. Both fans have three settings and both project the same force of air. I deliberately bought two different fans because I know if I bought two exact fans, one will work better than the other, and I will obsess over the weaker of the two. I will be keeping an eye on this particular fan and keeping you updated on its durability. But I honestly feel like I bought a piece of junk. However, for the purpose I purchased this item, there is no reason for the wires to be exposed to moisture. Do I recommend this fan? The exposed wires are set deep in a crevice, but I can’t help but wonder if a small child could poke his finger in and touch those shiny wires while the device is plugged in, could he suffer a shock? This issue could’ve been prevented, simply by wrapping the wires before inserting them in the device. I may disassemble the fan and attempt to insulate the wires, myself. I can’t prevent my mind from constantly focusing on this one issue. I provided a photo of the exposed wires, simply because there are no other available photos of the back-side of the fan. Even user reviews failed to photograph the back, so I provided that photo - complete with arrows and labels - for you. The yellow arrow points out the exposed wires. The orange arrow points out the very frail wire I mentioned. The white arrow points to the USB plug that does not fit flush with the device. I hope this review gives you some insight to help you decide if this particular item will suit your needs. I am not trying to discourage anyone from buying this item. It does work well for the reason I purchased it. But if you are buying it to use in the sun or an area where no option to recharge the device is provided, a cannot guarantee you will not be stranded in the heat without a cooling device that could prevent possible heat stroke. If you have a medical condition that would require the use of a personal fan, you should pass on this one and spend a bit more money on a more reliable fan. But the price is low enough to take your chances, if comfort is your only purpose for buying a personal fan.
