Made Android Auto work where other cables failed
I got a new car that's the first car I've ever had with Android Auto. While using it for navigation and media, it would seemingly randomly disconnect with the cables I had, which were a cheap 6ft one and a lower tier 3ft Anker cable and require me to unplug the phone and plug it back in to resume function.A bit of research told me that Android Auto needs a cable specifically for data transfer. I got this one on the basis of its reviews and it works perfectly! Hasn't disconnected me once in days! It feels much more solid than my other cables, too. It's a thick, pretty stiff braided cable that feels like it will hold up.For anyone looking for a cable to connect their phone to their car, I can't recommend this one highly enough.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This specific product was recommended to me as good/fast enough to support an Android Auto connection to my Samsung phone. It has worked with no issues.

Apple CarPlay compatibility
I bought this cable in the hopes that it would work with my new iPhone 15 in my 2019 Ford Escape for Apple CarPlay. The Escape has a USB-A jack for CarPlay, and of course the iPhone 15 is USB-C. If anyone else is wondering, I'm happy to report that this cable DOES work in this scenario.The reason I give four stars, though, is that I saw from other reviews that the USB-C end on this is needlessly chonky, and having received this and compared it with the other Anker USB-C cables I ordered, I have to agree. It's thicker than the other two cables I bought, and I don't understand why. That said, the connector does fit through my Pelican case, but I can see where it might not fit through others.Anker was not a brand I knew when I first started buying, but I now own probably ten cables and a couple of wireless charging stands, and I've been happy with all.
