Hard Water Wellness Collection

This was my first time doing a hard water treatment and I'm extremely pleased! I have not dyed my hair before and had been noticing in recent months a stringiness in my waves. They weren't clumping well and my hair felt heavy even after getting a haircut (which is the before picture I used). When I was a child I had blonde hair that darkened as I grew older. I was shocked to see such blonde highlights revealed in my hair after using the Malibu C Hard Water treatment. I also found that my wave pattern went from a type 2A/2B to a 2C/3A because it became lighter after the hard water buildup was removed. Now, my hair is bouncy, swishy, and clumps beautifully! I knew I was dealing with at least 12 years of hard water buildup. So, I followed most of the directions as instructed except I left the treatment on for 20 minutes with a plastic shower cap and warm towel rather than 5 minutes. After washing with shampoo a second time followed by conditioner I used a deep conditioning mask for 15 minutes to ensure I didn't leave my hair dry. I then styled it using homemade flaxseed gel and diffusing. The before and after side by side picture shows my hair styled both times. The before was styled by my hairstylist after the haircut and the after was what I had styled with flaxseed gel (I hadn't scrunched it in that picture). The second after pictures is after my hair had completely dried and I scrunched out their cast. I'm still new to taking proper care of my wavy/curly hair. This was my first time ever having a hard water treatment and using a deep conditioning masque. Since, treatment my mom has commented multiple times about how soft my hair looks and now that it can effectively receive moisture it feels soft too! UPDATE: It has been just a little more than a week since the first treatment and I did a second treatment. Now, I feel like the hard water buildup is completely gone. I have added a picture of closeup comparison of my hair in direct sunlight before treatment and after the second treatment.

I have used the Malibu Hard Water Wellness Remedy off and on for several years. It really helps remove buildup from my hair. In extreme cases, I have used the crystal treatment weekly but since getting a shower filter, I only use it monthly. During the summer I use the shampoo and conditioner about once a week for maintenance. Then use a different shampoo/conditioner with uv protection the rest of the time since I swim a lot. In winter, I wash my hair less often and typically use the Malibu shampoo and conditioner almost exclusively. My hair is very fine but I have a lot of it and this helps me to have more body and seems to help keep my hair healthier. It is softer and less dry without feeling weighted down. I love the clean sort of citrusy scent. With sensitivities, a lot of haircare products are a no go for me as they cause headaches. Even with the amount of hair I have, a little bit goes a long way so this lasts longer than some of the less expensive brands. For me, it is well worth the investment.

Those packets are MAGIC!!!!! Through my research, I've gathered that the shampoo and conditioner aren't as important (at all) as the packets!!! The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is to say just buy the packets themselves. In one use, my hair was already so much better - my boyfriend, mother, and my coworkers noticed the difference in my hair the first day of using this!!!

I have struggled so much with hard water buildup after moving to Florida, and this was a game changer. The packets especially are amazing and work so well. My hair was soft for the first time in a long time. Definitely try this!

My hair had a brassiness and golden color to it (blonde) and a friend/stylist had mentioned my golden tint. I told her that was not intentional and I had hard water. She suggested that I try using Malibu products to tone it down. I ordered and Wow.. What a difference that made. My blonde bounced back and the golden/brassiness was gone. This product is definitely a keeper!

This is supposed to be a good product and I’m sure it is but for me it wasn’t good. I thought it would be good to try since we have iron filled well water. It made my hair feel very dry after using so I only used it once and won’t use it again. My hair is very fine and fragile. Maybe it would work better with a different hair type but it definitely isn’t for me.

Our water in our area is absolutely horrible!!!!! After one wash my hair felt the cleanest it’s been in a long time. The conditioner is light and a lot is not needed. I have naturally curly hair and after one use, I got my curls back. The shampoo and conditioner are fragrance free. The Hard Water Wellness crystals will emulsify in your hair and create suds. Wash out throughly. Great products to subscribe to.

I wish I could give this 100 stars. I've lived for 25 years with water that is as hard as water can be without solidifying. I'm also hypothyroid and my hair has been extremely dry and brittle all that time. I'd had no idea that hard water shampoo existed before I found this. I washed my hair with this last night, and INSTANTLY my hair was so soft and smooth, and it felt and looked beautiful. I'm nearly in tears about this miracle. If you have hard water I cannot recommend this enough. And here is a funny: a couple of times I touched my hair and felt that it was wet. But it was not damp at all. It's just that I'd gotten so used to brittle, damaged flat hair that I'd forgotten what hair should feel like. This product is AMAZING. Complete revival with just one washing!!!!! Sad update: after 3 shampoos, this shampoo makes my hair look and feel awful. My hair feels filthy after washing, and is somehow dry and greasy at the same time. It's never felt or looked worse in my life. If I could change this review to 1 star I would do so. Looked up on Google and apparently this pattern is typical for hard water shampoos. I very very much do not recommend.

I never thought I would write a review for shampoo/conditioner, but this one deserves it. I moved from a country with water I thought was hard to a country with water so hard we cannot drink it. My hair felt increasingly dry and awful. I tried moisturizing shampoos, hair oils, etc. Nothing made much of a difference. Then I stumbled on this one, and I kid you not, from the first wash my hair has felt softer and fluffier (I have not been able to get my hair cut in 7 months, so it might be TOO fluffy) I have naturally grey hair, which is usually fairly dry at the best of times and this had made it feel great. I plan to keep using this when I finally move somewhere with soft water and look forward to seeing what healthiness happens to my hair then. Cannot recommend this shampoo/conditioner enough

I tried this product on the recommendation of my hairdresser and I was not disappointed! I was very impressed that my hair/extensions actually stayed blonde rather than the awful pinky colour they usually go when holidaying in the sun! The products also left my hair feeling soft and in good condition. Would definitely recommend , especially if you have extensions and are going on holiday abroad.

These crystals did God’s work. This saved my blonde extensions from UV and sunscreen (oops!) reaction that turned them peachy orange! I’m new to extensions so I have now learned my lesson. I did have to process it twice to remove the discolouration but it was worth it. May need one more pass through to get any last missed areas. The odor from the crystals reacting with the hair was not the best but let me know it was working. Hair is a bit dry now but nothing a deep hydration mask can’t fix. Thanks Malibu C!
