Great product. Took 3 tries to get the color just right- hair feels great! My hair is relatively short, so I color it for about $7 every 4-6 weeks. washes all the gray away! Amazing and no harsh chemicals.

I purchased this product for the first time along with the Herbatint hair dye. The box has a small measuring cup, application brush and the cute little apron that you see in the above picture. First time user, and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Based on the photo I thought that the cape would be fabric, but it's hard, stiff plastic so it doesn't really drape well, and kind of rolls around on your shoulders. It is also not snug around the neck, so I found it necessary to wrap a towel around my neck to avoid spills...which is what I bought the cape to prevent in the first place. The brush is too soft for applying a gel hair color. I guess if you need the measuring cup it might be helpful, but you could just as easily use one of those cups that comes with cough syrup for the same purpose. I'll be switching back to using an old towel and a brush that I got from a different brand of hair color. *Update: The company reached out an offered a full refund. Great customer service!

I have used Herbatint hair color for years and it is kinder and leaves my hair healthier than the drug store brands (I've tried most of them, too!) So I thought, why not pamper myself and get the kit to go with it? I usually only do the roots so I split the Herbatint into 2 applications. The kit contains a plastic cape, a small application brush and a measuring cup. I get that the plastic is so you can clean and re-use but the quality seemed lacking compared to the quality of the hair color. The measuring cup was not so much a cup as a thimble. How anyone could use it easily is beyond me. I'll just have to do without this hair coloring "luxury".

Incredibly over priced! I was expecting better quality for the price.
