Definitely works. But the expandable part of the call is very loud when cold and stretched.

I used it last fall and was successful in harvesting a deer but hard to tell if it was effective or not, but good to have in your bag of tricks when hunting deer. It took sometime getting the right pitch and using it to consistently get the same sound but eventually got the hang of it.
