It's firm, but it feels good for meditation. I like the firmness for aligning my back, and its the perfect height off the ground to make my legs comfortable for 20 minute sits. The fabric feels durable, if not the softest in the world. For my purposes I don't really need it to be soft as much as remain firm without being hard and putting my legs to sleep.

I wish they could design the fabric to be more 'smooth', but otherwise this is the perfect Zafu. I don't have too much experience with these cushions, but it's great for a beginner (like me) and the price-point was very good for starting out. The colors are nice, the 'feel' of the fabric is nice. And of course, the natural buckwheat filling is SO firm and comfortable for long meditation sessions. I'll be using this for a long time, if not forever

I didn't expect to love this as much as I do! The buckwheat makes for very dense, firm support that doesn't collapse or compress like other fillings, and if it's too firm for your taste, you can remove some of the hulls and customize the feel for your needs. The cover itself is a nice heavy fabric that's held up well to my many hours of use, and it zips off easily for washing, which is HUGE. I hate things that have to be spot-cleaned, because I feel like they never get as clean as I want, so I appreciate being able to throw this in the washer. Also, the handle! I love that they thought of this, because it makes it so much easier to grab and carry. It's really thoughtfully designed and well made. I use this for so much more than a meditation cushion. Right now I have it under my lap desk, which helps support and distribute the weight of my laptop more evenly as I'm typing. I stick it behind my back or at my side for extra support when sitting up in bed. Almost the only thing I don't really use it for is meditation 😂 though the few times I have used it as a meditation cushion it's felt firm without being uncomfortable, just the right degree of support for the spine. It's really the perfect height and width for so many uses, and the green color is a gorgeous yellowy-green grass shade. I think I paid $23-25 for this, and it's been totally worth it.

This is much bigger than expected but seems comfortable. I have not used it yet. I plan on using it for the sound baths that I will attend.

This is a high qulity yoga/meditation cushion. It seems really sturdy and well-made. As others have said it has substantial weight to it. They certinly didn't skimp on the buckwheat hull stuffing. I love that if it feels too hard for me I can actually take some out. Although it has a handle it would be somewhat heavy to carry any distance along with other yoga paraphernalia. So maybe better suited to a studio or home use. I ordered the stone color, which came looking more olive green than the grey pictured (at least the stone color pictured on my computer monitor and phone). But I do not really care. I was going to order the midnight blue but for some reason that was more expensive on Amazon than the other colors. The color is fine for something I am just going to sit on or even rest my head on - works great for that too. I would say the quality is a bargain compared to other yoga equipment and props I have seen. I believe it is made in China. With ever-changing tariffs that could affect the price and your choice. But if you are simply interested in quality at a fair price this would be an excellent choice.

First impressions- firm and comfortable. However, previous comments regarding the smell are real, and I'm not sure why. I sprayed mine with some Febreze and that seemed to take care of it pretty well. I have tried other mediation cushions in the past, and so far, this seems to be the most comfortable for me. I'm a 48 y/o male with a history of spinal surgery so it's never been very comfortable to sit fully cross legged on the floor. This helps bring my pelvis forward to maintain a more upright spine position that I can tolerate for much longer without getting stiff.

A great home cushion for Yoga. I take a home-based yoga class online and use it in every class. The quality is good. The color is beautiful. I would definitely buy it again.

I’m not only using this as (1) an effective meditation cushion, but also as (2) a bedtime night and nap time pillow for my head. That curve fits great from the top of my shoulders to the back of my head, and equally wonderful is (3) its natural buckwheat scent. I had been in Korean stores before and noticed the many buckwheat pillows on display, and now I get it. The nice buckwheat smell makes my sleep more pleasant. The pillow raises my head more than the standard US marshmallow pillow, but I need that because sometimes I have acid reflux and I read that raising the head in bed helps prevent it. I only recently got this pillow, but (4) so far no GERD.

This lovely crescent cushion is ideal for preventing leg cramps, is very well made, arrived in good time. Highly recommended. Has made a great difference to my capacity to practice.
