BeeSpring Lens Ribbon Flex Cable for Playstation 4 PS4 Console DVD Disk Drive

My console would not update, and it turns out this cable just needed to be replaced.

Got this for a PS4 disc drive repair. It fit perfectly. It does not have the bends the OEM has. You will have to bend it yourself.

My brother had shoved some items into my disc drive and when I had taken the cable off it ripped and this cord fixed all of my problems. I have a CUH-1001A and I worked perfectly. one thing though. It does not come folded so keep your old cord so you can fold it well.

Was having issues updating the PS4 software kept giving me an error when it tried updating. Wasn't sure what to do I searched the Internet for a solution and found out about this strip. I've been cleaning and taking apart my PS4 and knew it could've been the strip from damage over time. Last cleaning I was having a difficult time putting the strip back in when I was done I pulled on it a lot. This was the option I chose after a YouTuber explained it could be this part causing the error. Sorry for the long review but I wanted others to know it can help! Keep the ps4's alive!

broke the tabs off my original one by accident so i bought this new one to fix it. Like another person said on here the broken tabs on the inside wouldn't allow me to push it all the way in, but it was enough to get the cd tray working again. I did try taping it down with electrical tape, but over time the cd drive stored working again so idk what I'm doing wrong. I have an original ps4 the one that sounds like a jet. it might be I'm doing something wrong or i don't know. The new cable seems to work for a bit then stops though.

My PS4 was having issues updating, this little cable ended up being the problem, slapped this guy in and it worked good as new. New my disk drive is being recognized and allowing the system to update normally. My cable did come flat and straight, I had to bend it to the proper shape like the original. so be aware of that.

Works, but didn't click and hold into place properly. Only held into place because it was forced to by the position of the other parts once everything was put back together. Do not recommend

Sons PS4 wouldn’t complete the software update. Research indicated he needed a DVD drive to be working to accept the update. Easy test to see if the drive was working or not. Push the eject button and got a double beep and no response. Replacement of the cable necessary! Worked immediately after installing this cable. Push eject and you hear the drive trying to eject a disc or it will eject a disc if one was in there. Note: Your Bluetooth and WiFi connectors sit underneath the power block you have to remove to swap out the DVD cable. They can easily pop off. Make sure they are still connected after you replace the cable or you’ll be taking it all apart again to do just that… Ask me how I know lol.

Didn't look long enough but fits perfectly also its thicker than original thus harder to shape but it works great 👍

The packaging for the product was nice and ensured it arrived safely and intact given the fragility of the pins. A little fiddly to work with and does need good attention to replace the broken vable.
