These are the closest thing I found to the Costco Russell socks that they quit carrying they’re a little thicker, but they last a long time and they’re comfortable . They are my go to sock!

I used to be a Thorlos socks fan, but I think the consensus is that the quality there has dropped, and I have been looking for a replacement, hopefully something made in the USA. I read about Fox River and ordered a pair of just about everything they make similar to the Thorlos sock. After several months I am ready to declare the Fox River Wick Dry Classic White Crew Socks Moisture Wicking Socks the worthy heir to best socks throne. Many of the other Fox Water socks are difficult to put on and off though all seem to be well made and thick where they should be. These crew socks have all the thickness, and comfort plus more softness plus just the right amount of elastic in the ankles. Easy on and easy off. One day I just realized these socks were just plain perfect so I ordered some more. Love ‘em. Try a pair! USA!

I bought 2 pair 12 years ago as a favor for a student working on a marketing project trying to justify why a consumer would pay $8-10 for a pair of white work socks from Fox River when they can purchase a package of 5 for the same price. I thought I was being hosed. Got the socks and was completely and totally impressed on comfort, weave, fit, wicking. For over a decade these socks have been my go to socks when working outdoors and in the woods whether in the extreme cold or heat. Finally after all this time, they began to wear out. I just purchased 2 new pair off of Amazon, again for $10-11/pair. Fox River did it again - just a fabulous product! And what is so incredible is for this old guy (68), I can work in them all day and while I may be beat at the end of day, my feet are not tired. The socks provide a comfortable cushion to all terrain conditions. Thank you again for a superb product.

I had purchased three pair of Fox River socks about three years ago, and they are the best socks I've ever owned. So I bought two pair very recently here on Amazon. The new socks are incredibly comfortable, but they are longer that the ones I'd bought before. That's not a huge deal, but the socks bought previously were just the right height, and I was disappointed that the new ones are longer. If I had known that I would probably not have bought them because they are VERY expensive socks. Hope I will be pleased with them in the long run.

Hands down, the best white crew socks that my money has ever spent. They are super soft and have wonderfully cushioned bottoms under my feet. So comfy...like a soft cushy cloud on each foot! These are now my favorite socks and I have ordered more from this seller. I looked forever for socks that were like the ones Costco used to sell years ago and stopped ordering for their stores. I have painful neuropathy in both my feet and I am thrilled to have found this quality sock that is also very well made. Even better than what I bought years ago. These are the best! These socks will wear well for years for me. Wish they came in the colors navy and black as well as I only wear white in my walking shoes, to the gym, and around my house. I don't usually give socks as a gift but I will be ordering many pairs of these as stocking stuffers for my family members for Christmas. I want everyone to have them!

Fox River has taken over from Hanes as my go-to choice of socks. These are springy and VERY well-cushioned. The shaft is nicely elastic without being that death grip type that leaves your calf looking compressed after you take them off. They're great under my Vans, boots, or the trail running shoes I wear bicycling. One possible con is that because of the high level of cushioning, they can get a bit mashed out if you wear them either without shoes - especially on hardwood floors - or hiking in roomier shoes or boots. Fox River offers other thinner socks which are better for those types of traffic. I've tried the others and regularly recommend them all to friends and family for the uses they're each made for. There are great textiles from all over the work, but I have extra regard for these being made with such high quality in the USA when global industries are so competitive.

Lovely socks initially. However, after washing &drying (on low temp, btw)... the 6-8.5/7-9.5 size shrunk up enough that they are too small now. I wear size 9W or 7.5M and my feet are extremely wide. Not sure I will try the next size up... heels may end up on my Achilles tendon. If you have very wide feet you might want to try a different sock altogether.
