Nice sturdy spatula- looks like it won’t break with stiff dough!

This spatula is "almost" perfect in every way for me. I use it all the time for mixing all kinds of heavy doughs and such. It really can take some abuse! I say almost because the handle is perfectly round. Why is that an issue??? I find it isn't so easy to grip. If it had just a small depression for a thumb? Perfect. But I would definitely purchase this again and might just buy another so I have a clean one when I'm cooking with this one else where. I feel I have to say this too... I've seen lots of comments on here about the head and the handle not meeting right and it's impossible to clean between the two. Well, folks... They come apart so you can clean and sanitize them. You just have to pull them apart. It is tough, but you wouldn't want it easy if you're making anything with it. Excellent product!

I do like this spatula so far. The curve is good for everything I've used it in, including my KitchenAid mixer bowl. The handle feels dry and I plan to oil it the next time I do my boards and spoons. I did not see, when I bought it, that the head is designed to come off. This is handy, I guess, if you don't want to ruin the wood in the dishwasher and don't want to wash it by hand. Unless they change the packaging, you WILL need to take the head off at least once to get all of the plastic off from around the handle. It does pull straight off, but takes a firm hand that first time. It seems like it will many rounds of this if that's how you chose to use it.

I haven’t used it for very long, so don’t know how it will hold up, but it’s a great shape and very flexible. Hard to find one like this these days.

MY FAVORITE KITCHEN UTENSIL. just ordered another! strong, sturdy, but still awesome at scraping the sides of the pan. Update***** I've had the first one over a year now and just ordered a third because it is my go-to so the two I have are often in the dishwasher at the same time. I use them 2-3 times a day and both the ones I have are still good as new so they definitely last! I use them for cooking in skillets and cast iron, I use it for scraping things out of the food processor, it is stronger and thicker than a classic rubber spatula but still as flexible so it can scrape the sides of bowls and pans CLEAN.

Good spatula for the first 10 months or so. Now the head will not stay on the handle, fans off easily and if you lightly tap on the pot to clear it I've had the head fall off into the pot and had to fish it out. I have both the wooden and stainless steel handle versions of these spatulas and they both do the same thing. I would NOT recommend them.

J'avais sélectionné ma 1e Tovolo il y a quelques années après avoir fait le tour de toutes les spatules du rayon (immense) cuisine d'un grand magasin en face de la mairie de Paris. Elle était la seule à donner le rapport flexibilité et rigidité que je cherchais: assez flexible pour bien "lécher" les plats et récipients mais encore rigide assez pour étaler des préparations plus consistentes que de la crème fouettée. Je m'en sers pour aider ma pétrisseuse à faire de la pâte à pain multi-céréales en quantité, par exemple. Elle a commencé à se fendre à bout d'environs 5 ans et ayant reçu ce nouveau exemplaire je comprends comment elle réussit ses exploits. En effet, il y a un noyau en nylon qui fournit la rigidité, seuls les bords sont en pure silicone. J'enlève 1 étoile car je trouve que le silicone se fend un peu vite. Ce n'est peut être pas raisonnable (réaliste) d'attendre plus, mais j'ai encore en tête la durée de vie de la spatule en pur nylon qui était livrée avec le merveilleux robot Kenwood des années 70 de ma mère (bien 15 ans au moins je dirais).

Excelente producto.... es la segunda vez que lo compro (fue para diferentes casas, no por reposición) muy buen tamaño y cumple perfecto su función. Mi única “queja” es que parte de la etiqueta al removerla queda entre la espátula y el mango y no se puede retirar (ambas veces me pasó lo mismo) pensar en el packaging más eficiente, pero fuera de eso es muy buena! Creo que hay una versión de esta marca en la que es toda (incluso el mango) de silicon por lo que se evita este contratiempo del empaquetado

Este producto era lo que estaba buscando paleta flexible y un gran mango de madera, recomendable su compra, lo volveria a comprar!!

I first bought a similar sized orange tovolo spatula on sale at a kitchen store which I liked so much and have already used for more than 2 years now. The hand is made of rounded wood and the silicone material is smooth and sturdy that won't easily come off unless pulled hard. As I have used several other types like plastic handles, flimsy silicone part that bend unnecessarily and come off the handle, I could clearly find these spatulas are great and convenient to use that serves as an all-rounder for heated items (with non-plastic handle) and non-heat items like cake making, etc. I later bought an aqua green one and then as these white ones are in sale as an add-on item for less price, I bought two more. I mostly don't use the other types that come in sets. So, these fit my requirement. I will definitely buy more of the Tovolo items especially that have brushed aluminium handles.

This is exactly as described except for one minor issue which generally isn't much of a problem. The rigidity of the spatula should extend all the way to the tip of the spatula, like the old-style Rubbermaid wood handled spatula did. this one goes limp at the tip which is disappointing for scraping or deglazing. Other than that, I'd made the handle a little less bulky, a little slimmer. However I can't complain because the overall value is fantastic.
