After a long hiatus from flashlights, I decided to purchase this one with a few others. The Sofirn IF25a is a high-powered budget flashlight that is capable of producing close to 4000 lumens! I've looked around and this is the only light you can purchase with 3800-4200 lumens for approx $50-60. It has the highest lumens to dollar ratio to my knowledge. The model I purchased comes with 4x Luminus SST-20 emitters in 6500K. This torch exceeded my expectations in terms of the user interface, and overall quality. It's one of the smallest 21700 cell flashlights you can buy. Anduril 2 is a useful UI that has various complex features. I was put off by the complicated diagrams and almost didn't get it. But actually, you don't need to touch any of those advanced functions if you don't want. I stick with the ramping modes and candle mode which is really cool and produces a flickering candle effect! Highly recommended, it's become one of my EDCs these days.

The Sofirn IF25A is a ~3800 lumen 21700-battery powered rechargeable flashlight. As you can see in the pictures, it comes with light, 21700 battery, USB charging cord, lanyard, and 185650 battery jacket. Summary: The IF25A produces a long lasting and pure white beam (4 beams, really!). That so much light can be produced from such a tiny light is a wonder. As I tested, the IF25A charges the included battery to 4.18V, and discharges to 2.81V. That means it safe for both protected and unprotected 21700/18650 batteries. Technically, the IF25A is a marvelous little rechargeble light. Excellent craftsmanship aside, what really separates it from the thousands of cheap lights on Amazon is the quality of the light. Sofirn uses 4xSST20 pure white LEDs. Mine came in 6500K. While I usually choose a warmer LED, these cooler LEDs give this little light more throw and perceived brightness. There are absolutely no green or yellow hues in my IF25A. And yes, the IF25A is very small and pocketable. The Basics: When the IF25A arrived, I went about testing the battery, light beam, size/weight, UI and charging featuresof the flashlight. The battery came charged to 3.91V. As seen the the summary above, I measured both the maximum charge level and low voltage discharge cutoff, and both are great. They should keep the battery safe and ensurea long life. I put the supplied 4000maH Sofirn battery through my Opus BT-C3100 analyzer. It indicated true capacity at 4330mAH! Incredible! The IF25A has a USB-C connector and Sofirn supplies a cable in the package. The side switch shows red while charging, and turns green when fully charged, and holds a slight green while turned off. When the IF25A is nearly fully discharged, the output will dim and the switch light will turn red. Of course with Anduril UI, one can check the battery voltage by clicking three times quickly from off. Light output step down occurs for two reasons: temperature and voltage. I observed that, as the voltage dropped to near empty, the light refused to run at higher levels for more than a few seconds. The IF25A without battery weighs in at 97g. The IF25A User Interface (UI) is a Anduril. A discription here is beyond the scope of this review. Let it suffice to say that long press for moon, double press for maximum light, and single press/ramp to any level you want. The side switch is not easily depressed in your pocket. That said, it can be locked out. I have other flashlights with SST20 LEDs. They give more throw than flood, and are almost always free of blue/yellow/green tints. The LEDs in my light are no different. like single SST20, the 4 LEDs form a cohesive white beam that is more spot than flood. The IF25A is a small light. NO small flashlight can maintain 3800 lumen output without getting very very hot,so the IF25A will step the light down if it gets too hot. Sofirn does not calibrate the temperature on Anduril lights. Mine came at 35C (in a 22C room). Until calibration, I simply could not run it at any level higher than 50% for more than 30 or 40 seconds. After calibration, it steps down appropriately. You MUST calibrate the temp through the user interface (a series of switch clicks) to get it to behave properly. Note to reader about temperature in small flashlights: If you want a light that can maintain more than a 1000 lumens for hours, it will need a head (with cooling fins) the size of a baseball. These little lights simply can not run for more than a minute or two at the highest level before getting to hot to hold. Temperature step down is a good and necessary thing.

This little torch/flashlight is amazing. I’m always sceptical when I see the pictures showing how bright a flashlight is but I think this little beauty is brighter than what they show. It’s easily as bright as they say it is. Great value for money. I highly recommend this bright little sucker.

This is an excellent high quality flashlight. It's well built and puts out a great amount of light. The UI is simple and it has usb c charging which is great for the big lithium battery that is included. Definitely a great light for the money.
