StilGut Book Type, Genuine Leather Case for BlackBerry PRIV, Black

I just took delivery of this case, and my initial impression is that it is one of the nicest looking and feeling cases I have ever owned for a cell phone. I got it in brown, and while it is a bit more redish brown than my tastes generally lean toward, it is nevertheless a very rich and elegant shade. The workmanship appears to be quite good, though I have no illusions that after a couple months of use sharing a pants pocket with keys and change it will get a bit scratched and dinged up.....how much I do not know at this time. What I also like is the "shell" that holds the phone in place. It appears to be a good, snug fit that cradles and protects the phone on the sides. But, because of the Priv's slide out keyboard, the top and bottom are not protected quite as well. Mine does not have a problem reported by someone else where the case makes the keyboard is difficult to slide up, so if there was an issue with this in earlier models it may have been corrected. One other thing I was concerned about was whether the case would accommodate a "normal" sized USB plug for charging. Specifically, if the edge of the case would get in the way of inserting a plug. Again, no problems with this. In general, I could not be pleased with this product. (Now if I could just find something equally good for a Samsung Tab S 10.5 Tablet.....)

I purchased the brown vertical case. It looks really good but offers limited protection. Additionally, the tab that holds it closed got bent backwards. The case was useless after that because I could not keep it closed. It cost too much for that outcome.

I have a few observations about this case... 1. It is a very nice, well made case. The craftsmanship and feel are of the highest quality. 2. I can't be sure, but I think it helping save battery. I previously owned a case made by the manufacturer. This case had a window cut out that showed a clock on the screen (of the phone) and any apps with notifications. That was a cool feature, but I think this was causing battery drain as the processor continually had to refresh the little window's view. There is no Window on the StilGut case, so there is no view to continually refresh. I think, because of this, my battery has seen better performance. 3. Room for improvement. The other case had a clear round plastic piece in the upper right side. This laid directly over the phones indicator light (blinks when an alert is received). When the indicator blinked on the phone you could see it through the case. The StilGut does not have this little plastic piece. When you close the cover you have no visual indicator of an alert being received. Not a huge deal as you can still hear alerts but if you work with headphones on (like me) a visual would be nice as well. 4. Room for improvement.- A way to mount the phone in landscape mode. Had the same problem with the other case. I could not mount my phone in landscape mode to watch my stories.

I Love this case. I always like to have something that protects the screen of my phone and was sad to see there wasn't anything at the AT&T store. I settled for a plastic case that protects everything but the screen and I hated it. It was to smooth and slipped out of my hand a week later cracking the screen. I have since found this item and ordered it ASAP. Just received it and it is amazing! fits perfectly and closes very securely but is still easy to open with minimal effort. Also because of the leather it does not slip out of my hand as this is a pretty large sized phone as is. The craftsmanship is great and the lid has some extra padding material inside it so it's more than just a strip of leather covering the screen. I can also have it on speaker phone with my wife and she can hear me perfectly so it does not interfere with the mic and sound comes out just as good. I don't have any friends with a blackberry but if I did I would defiantly recommend this to them.

The StilGut book type cover I purchased for my Blackberry PRIV is beautifully crafted from fine leather. The cognac color is a rich hue which compliments the craftsmanship of the article. I purchased the "with clip" version specifically to keep my PRIV securely protected in the event it gets dropped. However within a very short time, the clip broke, is no longer stiff or study, which defeats the purpose of its intent. Now the case does not stay closed and pops open easily. I have no idea what caused the clip to break but as costly as the case was, I expected longterm functionality of your product. I wish I could give this case a 5-star rating, I was so glad I made the initial purchase, but now that I must use a rubber band to keep the case closed... well, to say the least, I am disappointed.

Overheats the phone. German design and engineering died during WWII. Also you're QC/QA Dept. @ Amazon knows less about quality metric evaluations than our genetically-modified chimpanzees bred (via gene editing) in China.

Pas solide, au bout d'un an le cuir se décolle et est très fortement abîmé. Finalement j'aurais dû acheter l'équivalent Français.

Sehr schön verarbeitet, Hochwertig und Dick. kleiner Nachteil durch den dicken Deckel ist das Mikro leiser und abgedumpft. Aber nicht störend.

Good quality and fi for purpose

Awesome case. Nice cushion over screen area. Fits great. The clip on the cover helps to hold the phone easier when open and keeps the cover closed. Access to the ports are accessible when cover closed. Only issue is unable to completely fold cover back to use camera (great lens on the Priv BTW), but you get used to it.

Empezé usando un cristal protector que se rompió muy rápidamente. con esta cartera el movil está mejor protegido y la posibilidad de que se me escurra al suelo desde las manos es mucho menor.
