Great Mouse
The Kone Pro Air is a great mouse. I upgraded from the wired Kone Pure Ultra. The Pro Air retains a very similar ergo shape with the thumb groove on the side, the large side buttons, and the superb mouse wheel. Since the shape was so similar, adapting was pretty easy, and the best part is that I'm no longer fighting the wire. In a lot of mouse or peripheral reviews in general, the writer will say something like "Will this thing make you a better player? No!" However, in the case of the Kone Pro Air, I do think it has made me better. I just got out of a Modern Warfare 3 2-hour session of Shipment/Rust and I can perceptibly feel that my tracking and flicking has gotten faster, smoother, and more accurate. You really don't understand how much a mouse wire can bog you down until you go without one for a few weeks. And I had been using a mouse bungee too. I held out on buying a wireless mouse because I was always skeptical of latency, but this mouse is IMMEDIATE over a 2.4ghz WiFi network. Lighting is a little understated as it only shows up under the two main mouse buttons instead of around the whole mouse (like many Roccat mice), but it looks good. Only couple caveats I'll mention here are that Swarm is pretty buggy and the initial pairing process was a little cumbersome. Swarm will show the mouse charged to 100% and display "4 hours remaining." There is also no way to stop the mouse from turning the RGB off after a minute of it being idle (I made sure to turn power saving mode off). And when I got the mouse I had to do a little 20 minute song and dance or plugging the mouse in, hitting the pair button on the dongle, unplugging it, etc. Eventually I got there and I've zero problems since (and I use a KVM switch), but I thought that was worth mentioning. The Owl Eye sensor is spot on and the PTFE feet glide super smoothly over my Skypad 3.0 (glass mousepad). Roccat also includes a spare set of feet, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, I am very pleased. If you have tried other Kone mice and want to make the jump to wireless, you should be very happy with the Kone Pro Air.

Not quite a Kone Pure, but it's pretty great.
It tracks perfectly, and all buttons and the scroll wheel feel precise and high quality. It's quite light, and the BT works perfectly. The LED RGB lighting is superfluous, but it's a nice touch. The shape is not as great as the old Kone Pure, but it's not far off. I would prefer it to be a bit smaller and deeper contoured on the sides, but this mouse shape is almost perfect. The built in battery lasts for several days of use, and recharges easily. I have no regrets with this purchase.

Ergo mouse, crappy software
The shape is the most comfortable and ergonomic among the ones I've seen and felt. The way you grip the mouse just feels right, with your thumb and pinkie fitting perfectly onto the sides. While the shape is good and allows for very natural, snappy movements when gaming (that is, indeed, the main purpose of the product itself), I wouldn't feel comfortable saying the same regarding the performance. Once plugged in, despite working instantly, the very first "necessity" is to download the Roccat Swarm software to be able to tweak and customize the mouse to your liking. The problem is, the software runs slower than a monkey on a pennyfarthing. It will affect the performance of the mouse in ways that I yet cannot understand completely: the main issue is with the sensor, that is for some reason jittery and stuttery in-game, registering random movements I didn't make; the game soon became unplayable due to the constant tendency of the mouse to make me look up to the sky. Pretty, isn't it? While trying to understand what was wrong with the sensor, I tried setting, from the software my polling rate from 1000Hz down to even 125Hz, as I heard that the stutter may be due to lack of synchronization between the polling rate and monitor refresh rate. After this attempt failed, I reckoned it had something to do with the DPI (as the default one, 800, is way too low for me). But once again, my attempt was pointless. I even tried messing with the LOD (lift-off distance) and changing the underlying surface (by removing the cloth mat), but none of these to any success. Ultimately, I tested my luck online to check if anyone else might be having (or have had) the same problems, but to my surprise there were no results available for this issue or, for the matter, on the mouse itself. Somehow, every different search directed me towards Reddit discussion on the Kone Pro Air (the wireless variant), which despite being similar, had very different sofware and mechanical issues on its own. My last straw was to delete the software itself, since I had read online that it prettu much slows the computer down when processing mouse movements. Then, one PC reboot and the cursor was completely fine. Every stutter, gone; even the smallest jitter went away to leave place for silky smooth aiming. The main takeaway from this review would be: Once you're content with tweaking the mouse from the software, if you're experiencing any of my aforementioned annoyances, try uninstalling it. It might solve your problem and save you from a very stressful afternoon. Everything else on the mouse is fantastic; the lighting is delightful, the mouse buttons large and the CPS high, if you're into Minecraft. Hope this aws helpful.

Good mouse so far
I've only had this mouse less than a week, so the scope of this review is somewhat limited, but so far my experience has been good. I got it on recommendation from my brother, who also has the same mouse. My suggestion to the reader is that everyone's grip style, hand size, and preferences are different, so those factors will determine whether or not this is a good fit for you. Things I like: - The scroll wheel actually works properly and feels nice. My last mouse (Razer Basilisk) had an infuriating problem with occasional missed/backwards scrolling, which is incredibly frustrating in gaming, so I've come to appreciate a functioning scroll wheel. - The side buttons are well-placed and accessible without accidentally pressing them, at least for my grip style. - The software is functional while not being intrusive (unlike Razer Synapse, which is notoriously obnoxious) - Tracking is fine as far as I can tell. - The weight is 132g, which is fine for me, but people who like their mouse to be super light may disagree. - The lighting options in the sofware are very customizable. I tend to not go crazy with the whole RGB thing, but if that's what you're into, you will like Roccat's software. Minor gripes: - The sides of the mouse are very smooth. This can introduce some awkwardness in your grip when picking up/repositioning the mouse. I might buy some grip tape for it, but I would have liked to see the rubbery/textured material on the sides that some other mice have. - I'm not totally sure the form factor of this mouse is right for me, since the mouse I am most accustomed to (a cheap Chinese gaming mouse) had a much different shape, but I'll give it some time to see if I get used to it. It's not uncomfortable, but not totally comfortable either. Again, this is a matter of individual comfort/preference. It's worth noting that my brother's Roccat Kone, which he's used very heavily for a couple of years, has developed a problem with the right click intermittently not registering. I figure any mouse under sustained heavy use will develop some clicking malfunction eventually, but it's something to keep in mind. On the balance, I think this mouse has earned a solid 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5 because Amazon), with the half star being deducted for the lack of grip/texturing on the sides. If I run into any glaring issues that change my opinion I will update, but so far my experience has been good and I would recommend this mouse.

If you're serious about gaming, this mouse is a must-have!
The ROCCAT Kone Pro is hands down one of the best gaming mice I’ve used! It’s super lightweight, incredibly responsive, and the ergonomic shape fits perfectly in my hand during long gaming sessions. The Titan Optical switches are smooth and fast, and the RGB lighting adds a great aesthetic without being over the top. I’ve noticed a real improvement in my aim and reaction time.

Great Accuracy, Medium Durability
I originally bought this mouse with low expectations, since my Logitech mouse was having double-click issues. This mouse has an optical switch, so double click should theoretically never be a problem, and hasn't for the 4 months I've been using this mouse. The software comes with an adjustable debounce time, so it's definitely possible to purposefully double-click with this mouse to get high CPS. The weaknesses of this mouse definitely include the scroll wheel. It gets the job done, but can feel just a little flimsy at times (though I might just be spoiled coming from the G502 scroll wheel). There's also no left and right scrolling, which isn't a huge issue most of the time but is a nice to have that I sometimes miss when using Excel. The pads also have very poor durability, in only 4 months of use a significant portion of the pads have been scraped away. Although, the upside is that the wear of the pads have not really changed the feel or accuracy of the mouse too much for me. The mouse came with replacement pads as well, though I haven't tried replacing any of the pads as of yet. Overall, this mouse was a really nice surprise for me. It's accurate, comes with optical switches, has software that's pretty lightweight and non-intrusive but feature-full, and is really cheap to boot. The downsides of poor pad durability and scroll wheel feel aren't nearly enough to outweigh the positives of this mouse. I don't think there's a better mouse on the market at its price. Would highly recommend!

Bad design - vulnerable to scroll wheel bugs/failures
Edit: Replacement mouse's cursor is now completely unreliable. I got THIS mouse in mid-April. So it lasted 5 months. When it works, it's a great mouse, but it's too expensive and wasteful to need to replace every few months, regardless of warranty. AVOID. ------- I wish I had done more research. My mouse, which I bought at the end of September 2020, has a failed scroll wheel. At first, I thought it was user error (arthritis). Then, I thought maybe it was some weird "gamer feature" that I accidentally turned on in Swarm (I'd scroll up or down, and it would cycle through what I did, plus the opposite). It started happening more blatantly, and I'd tried fiddling with various mouse settings in/out of Swarm to no avail, so I hit Google. Apparently, this is a very well known problem with the Kone AIMO and Kone AIMO Remastered, and can find references to it on Reddit and YouTube. Not only was this mouse purchased barely 6 months ago, but I barely used it before February - so really, this mouse survived two months of real use, and was defective through almost all of it. I have Logitech mice nearly 20 years old that still work. This couldn't hack it two months. Roccat makes a pretty mouse, but their quality is garbage. Just go on Reddit, and you'll see tons of issues with their mice AND keyboards. They brag about being "German created," but clearly, German engineering has eroded in quality. I have an email in to Roccat. Hopefully they'll honor the warranty, as this was NOT an inexpensive mouse. I was always a Logitech customer before this, but unless you want a barebones two-button mouse (sans tilt scroll wheel, no less, and that feature is a dealbreaker), you have to have big, man hands if you want to reach any of the buttons these days. Women like mice with lots of buttons, too! Not sure where I can go from here. Update: Thankfully, Roccat came through on their (two year, if you were wondering) warranty service. I had to jump through a few reasonable hoops, including a photo of the mouse with the USB cable cut (no need to ship the mouse back), and received a new-in-box unit within a week - although they'd warned it could be up to two weeks. Here's hoping this new mouse proves more reliable. ---- As for the mouse when it's actually WORKING, the "Easy Shift" is a joke, thanks to garbage placement: it is IMPOSSIBLE to press IT *AND* either of the two thumb buttons - unless you were uniquely blessed with two thumbs on the same hand! Roccat relocate it so users can press it with their ring finger (digitus medicinalis), which still allow one to use their pinky for a solid grip.
