Uba Portion Control Flatware & Bariatric Diet Utensils Set with Silicone Case (1)

I just received these and absolutely love them already. They come in a nice silicone case that makes them easy to take with when dining away from home. They are so much nicer than other types of silverware like this as they are longer and feel more like you are an adult holding real silverware instead of tiny handles similar to what toddlers eat with. They aren’t too heavy or too light. Will make losing weight and mindful eating so much easier both before and after surgery. By far the best in my opinion. Picture compares them to the silverware that I own.

I had to eat slowly after a recent operation and was having a hard time, so I bought some small utensils thinking it would help. Most toddler utensils are small in your hand, but have fork tines that are pretty close to normal sized, so it really didn’t help slow me down. These are the exact opposite and PERFECT! Tiny fork tines and spoon head only holds small amounts of food and are a normal length for adults. My throat has healed and I don’t really need these anymore but still use them because it makes me more mindful of my pacing. Highly recommend!

I had gastric bypass surgery and was having trouble finding flatware that wasn't toddler size. This is full size flatware but with the perfect size bowl and tines. It has slowed down my eating and I realized that I'm getting full sooner. The weight is just right. The one thing I don't like is the case for them. I thought it was a hard case but it's not. This means I have to constantly keep it in a ziplock bag so the utensils don't get dirt in my bag/backpack.

Good quality and is what it is.

I love this set so much! I got a few other Bariatric friendly pieces but this ones are by far my favorite. They are compact and the case is so perfect to just drop it in my lunch bag or purse and take it everywhere! 10/10 definitely recommend. FYI my husband made me order one for him as well lol

My husband had bariatric surgery adn they suggested he get a toddler flatware set to help ensure he doesn't take too big of bites. These are small but don't look or feel like baby spoons and forks. He doesn't use the knife so I can't say if it works to cut food, but he loves the set.

By using this silverware and seeing how small bites should be it's really helped me after surgery. I eat much slower too.

I had bariatric surgery in 2023 and needed a way to slow down my postop eating and force myself to take smaller bites as I've always been a fast eater - after gastric sleeve, if you don't eat small bites slowly and chew properly you can very quickly get overfull without realizing it and then you can be in pain and have to deal with dumping syndrome. I think this set works great in the immediate postop period to help with that - I use the spoon more than the knife and fork as postop I ate a lot of soups, purees, and yogurts and this small spoon only holds a small bite so it was perfect for the job. Now several months after surgery, I can gauge my bites myself and don't really use them anymore, but they were great for the first few weeks postop.

But 100 percent worth it in my opinion. I like the reassurance these utensils give me- I was really struggling with bite size with regular spoons and forks. The way these limit your bites really helps me slow down while eating. I find myself taking the time to take a bite and put the spoon down, something that I just wasn't doing with regular utensils. The body on these utensils is a little wide compared to regular ones but its still comfortable. The slight dip in the middle makes a natural resting spot for your thumb. They feel sturdy yet light weight in my hand. The price is a bit high for a spoon, fork and knife at nearly 25 dollars but it's a specialty item that's hard to find so that's acceptable in my mind. It's well worth the reassurance imo

Brilliant piece of Kit for dietary, and bariatric care. Easy use. Value for money yes, you'll get a giggle like I did when I first saw the size, but it's based on 20/20/20 rule

I am really disappointed with the quality of the cutlery. I purchased 2 sets so I could keep one in my bag withe all the time. There are multiple scuff marks on them. The boxes were not properly sealed and looked like they had been returned by a previous customer or seconds quality.

I have gastric issues and these help keep mouthfuls small enough so that food passes more easily through the esophagus and into the stomach carrying case is a big bonus.
