Powerful and built to last!
This slicer is amazing! The build quality is solid and the blade is extremely sharp. It cuts frozen meat smoothly and evenly. Easy to clean, quiet, and feels like a professional machine. Perfect for home use — totally worth the investment!

Great Slicer
Took a while to get. But worth the wait.. Takes a little while to clean up. Really no different than any other. but cuts like butter. I read tons of reviews from lots of different slicers. The BESWOOD250 seamed to be on the top of the list. Granted I've only sliced a 7lb roast I cooked, ?Had room for much more. and a couple of Turkey breasts too. Quiet, super easy to use. definitely a little heavy and need a place to store it.... I made a place!! I used the old plastic gear ones before... They suck! Hope fully this will last for years. Build wise I think it will. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. ALL GOOD!!

Quality product at a decent price
Like one of the other top reviews, I had recently purchased an $80 slicer (mostly plastic) from Bed Bath and Beyond (Cuisinart). I've recently gotten into hot pots and making my own bacon, so I wanted an easy way to slice up all the meat and veggies. While the cheaper one worked OK, the tray was fairly small and the meat kept getting pulled off and into the blade. Overall, it was functional but frustrating. Based on the other review and after looking at all sorts of options, I pulled the trigger on this one. You'll immediately notice the heft of it - probably 30 pounds as compared to the 4 or 5 pounds of the cheaper one. I have used it for one hot pot with some soft to firm veggies in various thicknesses and some super thin sliced meats. I have to admit, it is a huge improvement over the cheaper one. It feels solid and professional quality for a very reasonable price. It is much larger than the other one, so find a place to store it. It made quick work of all veggies that I put it in and will slice meat from paper thin to thicker. It worked great with bacon and I only had to trim a small portion of the meat off before slicing. I'd imagine a 12" version wouldn't require any trimming. Cleaning is actually pretty easy. The carriage comes off with one thumb wheel, as does the blade guard and the sharpening housing. You can then remove the blade with 3 hex bolts and wash all of that stuff in the sink. Wipe down the housing and all surfaces and you are good to go. Maybe 10 minutes maximum. One of the other reviews noted that the housing below where the tray slides was getting dinged up - I see that on mine after a couple uses as well. Just cosmetic but worth noting. Very happy with this so far.

Easily the best kitchen gadget that I've bought
I've wanted a slicer for a long time, but have been gifted or otherwise used cheaper home-use slicers and they've always been horrible to use. I did the research and this kept popping up. So after a little bit of saving and a little bit of convincing myself I went ahead and got it. Received it today. Well packed, but mostly fully assembled (just had to attach one of the guards) Was able to clean it with the instructions provided and got it setup on my counter. I had planned around this coming, so I had a roast beef waiting to be sliced. All motions on this are buttery smooth. The motor does make sound, but it's not what I would consider loud. A far cry quieter than the stand mixer, if I'm being honest. Now for the slicing; it must be a Midwest thing but I love super thin sliced meats, almost but not shaved. This thing rocked like a champ at that. It does have a zero setting and goes all the way up to 12. These are not locked in settings (they dont click into place, you can dial in precisely where you want), you can adjust and go anywhere the blade will cut. The setting was very good at staying put and just rocked through the 3lb roast beef in just a few minutes. Perfectly thin sliced at not quite the half mark between 0 and 1 on the thickness dial. Paper thin and oh so stack-able on a sandwich. Cleanup wasn't as straight forward as I was anticipating, but after reading the directions it was simple enough. I was able to ensure that no crumbs or debris was left anywhere on or in the machine and it was completely cleaned and wiped down within about 5 minutes. The only downside that I can mention on this was the width of the food tray. It's plenty long so I can slice meatloaf lengthwise from my loaf pan, but how deep the tray goes is a bit limiting. I had to cut the 3lb roast down in order for it to fit within the food guide. There is a grip that can come down, but because of the high angle, it made it awkward to push it along for the slices. I dont really consider this too much of a downside as it is intended to be for home use, and if it were bigger, it'd be a bit more of a pain to store when not in use. Final downside is this thing is big. It wont fit in most of my cabinets nor will it fit in my walk in pantry without going to a top shelf, which is about head height. It will fit in one of my cabinets as long as I'm willing to sacrifice ease of accessing anything behind it. That said, It will likely live on the counter in a corner out of the way of normal food prep areas. Now, advice; if you're planning on doing a lot of slicing, this is definitely the slicer you want. If you're planning on slicing once or twice a season (or year) this is a hefty investment not only in money but space. I specifically got this because I do make my own lunch meats and cheeses so the slicer was just a next step in that direction. I should also note, i kind of consider this a kitchen gadget. It does one thing, it does it well, but there's no crossover. My stand mixer does all sorts of things for me from baking to cooking to candymaking, and even meat processing (with attachments) This will pretty much just slice meats and cheeses. Bottom line, I do highly recommend this slicer if you're in the market for one. Buttery smooth operation, nearly effortless slicing, and this thing just keeps on rocking. I'll come back and update after a year of planned moderate to heavy use to see how it holds up.

Believe the reviews! The quality of this surpasses my previous 10" slicer that was branded and sold by a big outdoor store. Don't waste your money going that route first, just jump ahead and buy this one. I had named my other slicer Dexter due to having to tent off an area with plastic when I used it. It would fling meat everywhere. This one, little to none is being flung anywhere. Very easy to use. Clean-up is as expected and not all that difficult. Just use caution and clean it well when done. The quality of the Beswood is definitely worth the price as it feels industrial in construction and should last a long time. My only issue, the box I received had been opened already. Didn't appear to have anything missing or broken. A little disheartening when spending this much and having it opened already.

This slicer has saved my family so much money and made meal prep a lot more fun! It’s super easy to use, and I absolutely love using it. Cleaning is mostly fine, though I wish the blade was a bit easier to access (maybe I could ask AI for some tips! 😉). I had a smaller meat slicer before, but this one is definitely next level! Highly recommend!
