When I research these I saw a lot of reviews saying that these do not stick well to the standard Duplo blocks. My plan was to just super glue some standard Duplo blocks to the bottom for anchor points to attached to. When I received these I was delighted to find these stick to the standard Duplo blocks in every single possible way. Duplo seems to only include the size Platforms in kits that cost 60 to $200 and even at that price you will only get a couple at a time. It seems that is there way to force you to purchase expensive sets if you actually want to be able to build anything higher than one story. I am grateful that this company is here to provide children with the tools they need to learn and grow at a reasonable price despite duplos best efforts to prevent that without them making a fortune.

Here is a great story- Santa had brought our son a "baseplate" from Lego Duplo- he couldn't understand why he couldnt attach bricks to the BOTTOM of it, which led him to finding this set. And it did NOT disappoint!!! He was able to create what he wanted, added wheels to the bottom and all!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The price is phenomenal for what you get!! Trust me- do a side by side comparison, the savings are amazing! 5 stars!!!!

The first thing I noticed was the sharp edges on the corners. I noticed this before even taking off the plastic these were wrapped in. The sharpness is comparable to standard LEGO size LEGO brand (which is sharper than the LEGO brand DUPLO bricks. These warp much more easily than LEGO DUPLO. Just the pressure involved in getting the plate off (after it is connected) can warp it, such that it will not lay flat the next time used. One of my plates is already unusable, and it has only been connected and then removed about 3 times. The piece fit was tight enough, some plates slightly tighter than Duplo and others slightly looser, but certainly superior to most clone brands. The slightly looser fit might even be an advantage. I know that our toddler can not take apart large plates that are connected to another large plate, but when I am building something, for the toddler to play with and build on top of, I like the tight fit. Most of these plates have a slightly tighter fit. If attaching pieces to the bottom, that are not supported by any other pieces (such as trim when using the piece for an overhang roof) these plates are superior to the Lego Duplo brand. Compatibility with LEGO brand Duplo was very good. I tested several configurations. These fit nicely on top of the LEGO brand Quatro blocks. Some of my Duplo plates do, but not my 6x12 Duplo plates. Compatibility with regular scale LEGO was inferior to LEGO Duplo brand. I often mix the scales, and have found that specific sizes of regular scale LEGO fit tightly enough on top of Duplo plates that the two can be mixed. The looser fit of these plates make the connection with standard scale LEGO too loose.

These Big Briks Duplo LEGO baseplates are awesomely awesome! They are sturdy, beautifully crafted with exceptional precision, and the colors are LEGO-perfect. The Duplo LEGO bricks fit snugly on these baseplates and provide the perfect foundation for the creations of our 3 y/o grandson. His Gramma (me) builds some pretty cool stuff too. :) I would absolutely recommend this 12-pack to anyone looking for Duplo LEGO baseplates. These are a great size as the fit in a small backpack ready for trips out. They also make a nice tower which my little one loved building at the table on holiday.

It’s pretty reasonable clone of Duplo. The tolerances are not as tight; so I use more layers. Using more layers is not a problem, as they are 12% the cost of Duplo brand and are visually identical. Fantastic value.
