He's came packaged well with two options for the level. They're easily able to be read and the build quality is amazing for the price point. I have an older one and they have made some major upgrades since then. I checked with one of my levels and one of these and they were spot on.

Good line levels
These are pretty good line levels. You know, probably use them once, twice, times and that's that. They're cheap enough you can replace them. I found that the line loops are a little weak, but also they were being left out in the sun and we all know that sun degrades plastics, so that's partially my fault.

These are great little levels
These are great little levels. I hammock camp and I use the black level to make sure my tarp's ridgeline is level and I use the white level to make sure my foot end of my hammock is up higher than the head end. If you put the levels side by side on a level surface, the black one will have the bubble in the center like a normal level. The white one's vial is conical, so one end of it is where the bubble sits on a level surface. The reason for this is the level is meant to measure the slope, and it's easier to read with the lines 1/8th of an inch apart instead of way less. So it is designed to be like that, don't assume it is broken or doesn't work, because it was intentional for it to work like that, and it makes perfect sense as to why it was designed like that.

Item has a black background in the vile with the fluid that holds the bubble. While trying to horizontally look at the bubble, in any light condition outside, the bubble is not visible to barley visible. Looking from the top or from the bottom of the item the bubble is visible as light is able to shine right thru to clearly show the bubble. A very bad idea "upgrade"..? No, just junk. Would give no stars if possible. Older versions of this model do not have this issue.
