20 is ultralight 25 light tackle. Caught a 3# smallmouth on 20 with 6# test. Lots of fun. Requires patience. I use braided line. Does not spool.

Can the line capasity use 60lbs line

The why to to why someone would want 60 lb braid on an a spinning reel is because some people use spinning reels for bottom fishing. The  heavy braid is used not for the fish, but rather the bottom. 60lb braid and 50 or 60 lb mono leaders mean you get some of your rigs and weights back after being hung up on the bottom. Lighter line and you’ll be buying more gear.  However, one would be using at least a 4000 and up sized reel for this application.

What is the best rod to match this reel for crappie and bass?

There is so many options that would be good. As far as brand of rod you will get a 100 difrent ansewrs mainly because there is so many rods so people will sugest what they know. Me i use eather apower: medium light, action:moderatefast if you find one if not fast works just fine. Then get it around 6'2 to 6'6 . honestly you dont have to be perfect if your not catching fish for thousands of dollers then you dont have to have an exact rod for every bait and technique. But yea if your just wanting something to go out and do the job crappue and bass. Yea i would say a if your catching more crappie get the medium light if you target bass more get medium just on the medium make sure it has good flex soft tip. Fishing can be confusing if you listen to all the sale pitch pros. Just get a rod that feels good in your hand dont go to cheap. Stick with the known brands the best brand for youre money is lews. Keep it simply. O! And dont make the mistake i did in my starting years. Dont go out targeting crappie and bass on the same day. Yea you might get lucky. But to truley get really good and be the best you can. Plan youre day targeting one type of fish. When your fish time flyes so if you keep switching youre not catching. Pond fishing is fun and easy. If you got a boat cover lots of water fast until you get a bite then finesse until the bite slowes then cover water fast again.
