I was able to use it as weights in my exercise routine in the spa, which involved submerging underwater while containing coffee. There were no spills or ingress, the coffee still tasted delicious afterwards.

I have bought several insulated water bottles over the years and I do want to say that no other brand has kept my coffee as hot for as long as this Hydro Flask does. As I write this review I’m drinking hot coffee 5 hours after filling my Hydro Flask. The coffee is honestly still as hot as when I poured it 5 hours ago. Truly amazing. As you can tell, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. Highly recommended!

So I've had this product and many of theirs for years, and just recently I had some issues, probably a product defect on one, and then wear/tear/negligence for the other. First. There was visible rust on the seams on the inside, close to the opening, and then somehow, water got in between the metal layers. I never use any sharp objects to clean this, there's no dents or holes inside/outside, so I have no idea really how water got through. I did however have this bottle sit with water for maybe 4 months untouched, closed, in a room, but I don't think that'd cause the problem. Any case, I reached out to their warranty and after some pictures, they sent me a new one. So that's great! Second, their flex lid. I love this lid overall because it's hard to accidentally open, or snag, and all parts are removable to clean. The bad, is that the silicone ring that makes it leak proof is susceptible to mold/staines. What happened for me, is that I use it to drink coffee, with cream/sugar and the residue sits in the lid, so if it isn't cleaned, it will slowly affect the gasket. Eventually, black spots appeared on it. Bleach helped at first but later on, it didn't anymore. Once again, reached out to the company, a couple pictures, and they sent a whole new lid. Keeping it clean more regularly would save you from this problem. Same with the o ring seal, it can be taken out to clean.
