Evil Dead 2 - Ultimate Ash - 7" Action Figure

Groovy. This figure itself is mostly just a retool of the Evil Dead 2 figures NECA made a few years ago with the only new part being the updated hip section. With the new articulation the figure matches the standards of other figures the company has been releasing lately and it is still a great looking piece. It is based on Ash as he appeared throughout the majority of the film and so it does not include his iconic chainsaw hand which wasn't made until towards the end. The sculpting is strong and they've done a great job of capturing actor Bruce Campbell's face with a frightened expression. The paint is also impressive with washes applied and nice blood spots, the desired effect even allows for some minor mishaps to blend in with the general dirty look of the character. The accessories included are terrific as each is also well sculpted and painted, although I will point out it's the wrong version of the necronomicon. Getting him to hold the shotgun can be a pain as his hand is sculpted in a fairly tight grip so I would recommend caution and patience in getting it in there but it is a very solid hold once he has it. Finally the packaging is also terrific for display with the movie poster being the front flap of the box, you could leave the figure in box and still have it displayed if you chose to do so. Overall as an Evil Dead fan I love this figure and would recommend it to anyone who's interested.

Just got it today. Looks great, exactly like advertised. No box damage orderedblast friday, got three days later. Will order more figures later. Cant wait to add to my office horror theme.

Came packaged well. Has amazing detail and the box it comes in is high quality as well.~ Definitely worth the money.

Definitely one of the top NECA figures of the year because we haven't got any good ash figures through the years and definitely not as awesome as this figure. Only complaint i have is the articulation is when i move it around the paint chips off and it's really annoying but we had it worst with the toybiz marvel legends figures. Otherwise great articulation again most articulation put on a neca figure great bicep swivels nice ball rotations awesome accessories great likeness to Bruce Campbell only eyes look a little goofy but overall great figure.

Should've come with a chainsaw for his missing hand...

This is a cool action figure with great attention to detail. Recommended for collectors or those wanting to fight the Evil Dead
