Great gadget
Why did I not buy this before! So far used for carrot and onions, what a fab addition to my kitchen. Easy to use, comes apart for cleaning.

The size is small but works well
It's a bit smaller than expected but it's a good little machine. The hand pull string is sturdy and spins the blades well.

Handy Little Chopper
This is an excellent chopper, especially for onions, I use a lot. It is very sharp so must be careful when washing it, would highly recommend this.

Convenient, easy to use
So easy to use and to clean. Pull chord is an excellent idea, start slow so as not to strain it and then speed up once the things are more finely chopped. I use it for making pastry, carefully put in flour and tree, btrybnot to get any into the top hole in chopper blade mech everything in, 5 or 6 pulls and its ready to be mixed with egg or water, far less mess than a hand mixer. Maybe we will buy the larger version too.

Good. Does the job.
Works really well. Gets grinded easily to very tiny pieces. Could've been better if medium blade is included.

Pull string jammed — now useless
I bought this manual food chopper from Amazon on 23 November and today 17 December it got stuck while chopping onions. The pull string jammed inside the lid and after that it won’t retract or go back in, so the chopper is basically unusable now. I used it normally (nothing hard, just onions) and expected it to last longer than a few weeks.

I found out about this type of tool in a food discussion group online where I mentioned another favorite tool that I use. I had never heard of a handheld food processor so to speak at least that’s the way the guy referred to it. So I checked out a bunch of different ones and decided not to buy the 30+ dollar one, but opted for this one just to try it out. It was affordable and it looked like the picture that the fellow who recommended one had. Oh my goodness, where have I been? I have arthritis in both my hands and chopping has become very much of a challenge - chopping, preparing food, etc. This makes food preparation so down, dirty and easy. First of all one does not always want to haul out one’s big motorized food processor, such as a Cuisinart even though I love it. It’s heavy, and they come in 7 cup or 11 cup sizes. I’m sure you know the drill if you’re reading this so one doesn’t always want to have to haul it out. Get it all set up pick out blades all that type of thing, you just want to chop a few onions to throw into your potatoes in the morning or chop up some celery to go in your tuna salad and so forth. This tool is the perfect thing. It is very lightweight. it is completely Manual. The blades are extremely sharp. The top sets in and with a very small twist locks into place. They do warn that you don’t want to chop hard things in there which makes sense. But say you wanted to chop a few shelled nuts, such as Walnuts, which are softer or pecans? I have not tried those yet, but I’ve tried the following: onions, celery, bell peppers, such as green peppers or red peppers. As I remarked, the blade is extremely sharp, and unlike other small chopper products it only goes in one way, and it only has one feature: sharp, which is fine. I’ve got other tools if I want to do soft chopping. What one has to do is clean your vegetables you know take off the skin in the core the seeds whatever and then chop it into about half or 1 inch sized pieces. This is easy enough to do and requires no critical dexterity so I’m not worried about my knife slipping and damaging my hand or hands. Then you insert the blade in the instrument or it should be kept with the blade in it. That’s the easiest storage feature. Pop your vegetables in and you grab the little pulley which has two finger holes and you just pull. Chopping onions takes about five pulls. And they are quickly and easily completely diced up. It is fantastic, especially in the morning if you’re doing something with potatoes and eggs and you want peppers and onions and you’re not quite awake. You don’t have to worry about your knife slipping. It does seem to be very high-quality even for this limited price I couldn’t believe it. I bought a blue one as that is the color scheme that goes with my kitchen, but there were multiple other colors. After using it the easiest thing to do is to immediately rinse it out and give it a quick swipe down with a soapy dish, rag or dish wand. It cleans up super fast and easy and you don’t have to fiddle about putting things in the dishwasher and what not. I can’t wait to try chopped apples for Waldorf salad, chopped strawberries to go in my muesli. I’m trying to think of all these different things I can chop now that I haven’t been chopping because the hand work was way too much. Excellent product I would buy again or give it as a gift of friends.

Love it. I saw my mom use it in India and wanted something similar here. Super cool and quick. Takes away a lot of trouble. Useful for everyday food prep.
