Q: Can i use this as an exfoliant for keratosis pilaris on the back of arms?

Hi There! CeraVe Acne Control Gel is a hydrating, daily acne treatment with 2% salicylic acid that clears acne and helps prevent new breakouts from forming. It also offers gentle exfoliation with alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids (AHA and BHA) that help improve the appearance of pores along with calming niacinamide and barrier-strengthening ceramides.

Hi there! Thank you for asking about our CeraVe Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Gel for Face. We appreciate your interest in our products! This is a lightweight, hydrating, full-face acne treatment that contains glycolic and lactic AHAs plus the BHA salicylic acid. It has not been tested to be used on the scalp. We hope this helps!

Q: Is it okay to use this product with their SA cleanser as well? Or would that be too much for my skin?

Hi Iman! Yes, you can use our Acne Control Cleanser or Renewing SA Cleanser with our Acne Control Gel. In fact, you may experience quicker results with the combination of the gel and a salicylic acid cleanser. Be sure to follow with a moisturizer such as our PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion to retain moisture!
