I cant twist off the top to change batteries. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to read the directions. You twist off the BOTTOM to change the batteries. If you twist off the top you'll expose the LED and could potentially damage it.

Amazon shows length of 9" - same model # at walmart shows 6.6". which is correct? pls confirm lumens are really 336. thank you!

Checked my package. model number is SP2P01CL. Measured at just barely over 6 inches (6.1,6.2?) and IT IS 332 lumens. It's also pretty damn bright for a light this size. It's a great purchase. Hope this helps.

Is the new LED maglite dimmable like the incandescent was?

So if you buy the item just as it is for this model, the light is NOT dimmable. You twist the head to turn it on, which means you can adjust the beam to be wider or narrower. It is very bright for its size. HOWEVER, if you want the option of dimming the light, search for accessories. MagLite does make accessories that allow you to swap out the standard base for a base with a clicker. The clicker (usually) features 5 clicks: hi beam, mid beam, low beam, fast blink, slow blink. So if you really like this model you can buy it, but make sure you find the accessory kit too. Good luck.

Looking on the back of the box, it says exactly: "Flashlight designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. Mag Instrument's factory is located in Ontario, California. Includes some imported components. Accessory product(s) manufactured in the U.S.A." That's what I've always thought, but it's interesting because there is an address and website in Germany for getting additional info. Guess that's where the imported materials come from. Hope this helps.
