My Razer Strider Chroma review
As a preface, I'll mostly be talking about the RGB/LED lighting aspect and the merits the mouse mat has over others, but if RGB is not important to you, you can discard this review. The Razer Strider Chroma is hands down the best RGB mouse mat in terms of accommodating both mouse and keyboard. Most, if not all RGB extended mouse mats (as of writing this) are limited to one lighting zone, and the best you can get is two lighting zones. Additionally, most extended RGB mats tend to have issues where the LED lighting's luminosity is imperfect, such as hotspots and dimness. In other words, the lighting allocation for most RGB extended mats is not evenly lit. The 19 lighting zones of the Chroma Strider are unquestionably cutting-edge for an extended RGB mat. The Chroma Strider led lighting is evenly lit throughout the whole mat to a near-enough perfect degree (no hotspots and absence of dimness). The software lighting customization on Synapse is significantly more versatile than any extended RGB mouse mat I own with software integration. For context, I previously owned the SteelSeries QcK prism XL and the Corsair MM700. Comparing the Chroma Strider to the aforementioned extended RGB mats, the Corsair and Steelseries mats were limited to two lighting zones. The dimness and hotspots were more prevalent with the MM700 (in my experience), but the material cloth was very nice, and the software lighting was meh. The Qck Prism was better in the LED lighting department: better luminosity allocation but not perfect and software customization; however, the cloth material, in my opinion, was not as great as the MM700. There is no stitching with the Chroma Strider; it's seamless! The overall dimensions are perfect for my needs, not too big or too small. The water-resistant feature along with the good material quality comes in handy when I need to clean my mat, making it less prone to material degradation. I'm fond of the hybridized cloth material, but it may not be ideal for all users. If I could name a con, that might be the price, but I think it's reasonable, personally. All things considered, the Chroma Strider outshines all extended *RGB* mouse mats you can find on the market currently as of writing this. I'm very assuaged with this merchandise. Thank you, Razer!

Excellent low friction mousepad, feels like a more expensive product
The surface offers a very consistent glide that seems to be quite resistant to humidity and temperature. It has a rough texture, which some could find not as comfy if they come from average cloth pads. Though I personally really like the roughness of the surface because, from my experience with other pads, this roughness is what contributes to the consistency and durability of it and is why it's a hybrid mousepad. The pad is overall quite hard with almost no give which also contributes to the hybrid feeling and the consistency, especially if you use mice with smaller skates since they won't sink in this pad unless you press down quite hard. I don't think you can get better edge stitching at around this price. The edges aren't sharp like unstitched pads and they're also not bumpy like many stitched ones because it's 99% flush with the surface on the Strider. Being 450x400mm it's the same size as most other big brand large version mousepads. I personally wish there was a slightly larger square version with more height at around $35, although it's not an issue at all unless you're using a VERY low sensitivity. The rubber base stickiness depends on the desk. I have no issues on mine and you can always spray a small amount of water on the desk or use some thin double-sided tape if you have issues with yours. The Razer logo doesn't get in the way at all. Very well made and placed. So far it's like a 9-9.5/10 for me, easily being the best pad I've used, and I've used like 10 other pads.

Best Mouse Pad I’ve Ever Used!
The Razer Strider Hybrid Mouse Mat has quickly become my favorite mouse pad, offering the perfect blend of performance, durability, and practicality. Hybrid Surface: The combination of a soft base and a firm gliding surface provides smooth and precise mouse movements, making it perfect for gaming and productivity. Anti-Slip Base: The anti-slip base keeps the mat firmly in place, even during intense gaming sessions. No sliding or shifting at all. Durability: The anti-fraying stitched edges and water-resistant coating ensure the mouse pad holds up over time, even with heavy use. Portability: Despite its firm surface, the mat is rollable and portable, making it easy to transport for LAN parties or gaming setups on the go. Perfect Size: The large size gives ample space for wide mouse movements while fitting nicely on my desk. Aesthetic: The minimalist design and high-quality materials add a sleek and professional look to my setup. Overall: The Razer Strider Hybrid Mouse Mat strikes the perfect balance between control and speed. It’s durable, portable, and performs exceptionally well. Highly recommend it for anyone serious about gaming or looking for a premium mouse pad!

Very solid though very prone to dirt
This mousepad is excellent. It’s a nice, large mousepad, it stays in place, it’s perfectly smooth and blends well with the rest of my setup. The only problem is that with the mousepad being all black, it is very prone to showing any sort of dust and/or gamer gunk that naturally accrues. The material is very soft though cheaper quality mousepads seem less likely to get as gunked up. You can absolutely clean this mousepad with some mild dish soap, a soft brush, and a little elbow grease, though it is some extra maintenance work that you should be aware of.

As a low sensitivity fps gamer, my arm gets thrown and I like to be able to stop on a dime. While looking for a new desk mat I happened across the Strider XXL and decided to give it a shot. I've never liked hard pads, and being extremely slick isn't my jam. The idea of a hybrid pad interested me though. Holy, am I ever impressed. She's fast and smooth, but still has just a touch of bite to stop immediately. Others have said this pad has a sandpaper quality to it, and I fully disagree. It's textured, it's technically "rough" as in not smooth, but it's not rough on my hand, wrist, or arm whatsoever. Textured, firm, but not coarse or uncomfortable at all. Being a cloth pad still gives a little bit of comfort for my hand and arm on it, but it's not a plush or muddy cloth. I am supremely impressed. I was using a Corsair MM350, and that was absolute trash compared to this. I'm going to grab another Strider to have as a backup, because I love this thing. Way more than I was expecting to. The stitching is quite nice, build quality looks like it will hold up, and I've read folks have had theirs for years with no slow spots from wear. All in all, the only downside is the price, but I am willing to pay it again so I can have another one for a rainy day. Zero regrets.
