When learning a new language, it’s best to start with the alphabet. This book contains detailed instructions for the Korean letters and how to use them.

I am teaching my self Korean. I am a beginner, I was somewhat familiar with alphabet and a few words before purchasing this book, but I was not fully committed to learning the language. I went through 95% of this book in about 8 hrs to get the basics down. I didn't have any issues with the audio online. If the link in the book doesn't work go to "downloadable content" on the tuttle webpage and find your book to get the audio. I highly recommend the book. I like that it had actual words for the syllables, so it can help you learn some vocabulary at the same while learning how to write.

The book has really helped me improve my reading. I use it as a substitute for my tutoring lessons. But honestly even if you are learning on your own this book will help in reading writing and speaking Korean.
