What am I missing?? What's the value difference between this set and the many other similar sets for almost half this price? (not a challenge)

Where is this product made?

From searching around the internet I’d certainly say Asia. And a search of the word “Shori” shows origin is Japanese. I will tell you, this is a quality set even though it is very reasonably priced. I bought this set about two years ago and it has held up very well. I followed the instructions on care. It has really complimented my learning to bake sourdough.
