Dongwon, Tuna With Hot Pepper Sauce, 5.29 Ounce 4-cans

When I was a kid, I once ate so many tuna fish sandwiches that I got sick. Since that day, I’ve avoided tuna like the plague - just the smell will transport me back to my childhood, paralyzed on my couch, sick as a dog from all the tuna I consumed. I took a chance on this tuna because I heard DongWon does tuna better than other canned tuna brands - not as fishy, better taste, better quality of fish, etc. So, I put my 30 year war with tuna aside and ordered a pack of the hot pepper tuna in hopes that I could find a new healthy protein to add to my rotation. Let’s just say, tuna and I are friends again after all these years. Oh. My. Goodness. First, the smell is amazing - a nice peppery, non-fishy smell in a bright red sauce. I popped it over a bed of rice and am in heaven. It’s not salty, not super oily (but there is a bit), and it just tastes AMAZING! The price for 4 cans is a little steep, so I’ll be looking at my local Asian markets before ordering again, but rest assured, I will be eating this again (and again).

This tuna with sushi, rice and seaweed is such a tasty snack

A viral video introduced me to this product and my life is forever changed. Delicious with Japanese rice and a packet of teriyaki seaweed snacks when I’m craving sushi but too lazy to make it. I don’t find it overly spicy, but ymmv. It’s more what I would consider a mild spicy and I’ve added sriracha or guangchang sauce to give it a bit more kick when I’m feeling the need for more heat.

Every time I eat this stuff I am at once horrified and overjoyed. The blended tastes work... then they don't... then they do. It's really quite the oral tuna journey... if I can say that. It borders on food abomination, and I'll have another. In fact, that's probably what I'll do right now.

Got these after watching YouTube shorts while hungry, and it lived up to the hype. Mix it with white rice, Kewpi mayo, seaweed sprinkle stuff, and then wrap it in seaweed sheets. It's just a bit spicy, nothing too crazy. Surprisingly fresh taste. One of my cans arrived dented, but I'm not even upset. Overpriced for the quantity.

This is really good tuna! Stock up because it's not available in the stores.

Very good but not for the price, just get reg tuna and literally add tabasco sauce.
