Durable and smooth Product at a very Low Cost
Right out of the box the quality seems as good and as heavy as the original OEM belt tensioner. It Fits my 2012 Rav4 2.5 perfectly. The tension seems good, bouncing slightly and steady. I have driven about a couple hundred miles so far it's been great and smooth. I will update how long it lasts

It works for Camry SE 2017 2.5L
This item works and is a direct replacement for the belt tensioner of my Toyota Camry SE 2017 2.5L Sedan. It seems to work fine. Installation only requires a key wrench of 12mm to remove the unit itself and 14mm socket wrench to pull and adjust tension. It would go in as easily as taking the old one out. One word to caution, you need to get the belt seat in the groove of both pulleys (engine and AC Compressor) or you can never put the belt on for the life of you. It only misses a hair of air gap but can never get in, and as a matter of fact you should NEVER install it in such a fashion. The belt (assuming you have the right one) has been well engineered to get in nicely. There is absolutely no need for heating the new belt up to increase its length as other suggested. The key here is "make sure it seat in correctly" and it has nothing to do with this unit. Tip, remove the front passenger wheel and the plastic cover and you should be able to see the "bottom of both pulleys" (very important). In my case, I did not so I use a flash light beaming directly on top of the engine pulley and sure enough I can see it did not aligned as it should be. Very easy to miss this. It took me 2 days and the cost of this unit to learn what I just told you. Also, last but not least, when you pull on this unit with a 14mm wrench, you need to STOP right at the moment the black plastic wheel touching the engine case. Failing to do so will break this sucker. It is made not to be pulled with excessive force . Pulling more just because you missed what I told you earlier will not do you any good. I was able to get the belt in with a normal 10" 30-years old socket wrench easily. Remember, the Alternator's pulley is the last place where the belt goes in. How long this thing last, only time can tell. But for the cost of $25 vs $264 (only this part) at the local dealership and a rocky economy full of stupid tariffs from the Taco man, it won't take you long to know what to do. Buy 2 and keep one in the trunk and with those tools I told you earlier you should be all set. If this thing ever broke on me, I will surely come back with 1 star. For now, I will give it 5 for the cost. I think the seller did well in term of the price. Want the OEM for $155, go online to Village Toyota in FL.

worked!
Had water pump and alternator fail at same time. Had to open up cooling system and figured I'd do a refresh of everything. Replaced the belt tensioner with this one and all worked out fine. Videos out there show that you have to jack up car and remove engine mount to replace this tensioner. This is not true! Remove hydraulic spring from tensioner, then remove tensioner from engine. Also, people complained about the tensioner socket breaking on installation. I could see this happening if trying to adjust in an improper direction of tensioner movement. I realized this at installation and install went as it should.

I should have known better!
The hex head on this tensioner broke off while installing it. The belt was only halfway on. I had to pry off the belt to get that tensioner off and put the old tensioner back on. Extremely cheap Chinese metals!

Reliable parts.
Very good. I know I can always count on their products the very first time installed while others failed.

Went on flawless, really good quality bearing nice and tight. The dummy 19mm bolt is easy to move to adjust the tension. Went on an 04 Camry, 10/10 would recommend. I’d recommend jacking the engine up to remove the 2 old bolts and set the tension then let the engine back down on the motor mount!

Al intentar colocar el tensor de banda al motor no resistió la precion y la tuerca se barrio así que la calidad es muy mala
