The size is great and it is two-sided. In using it, I find that it has a good balance between providing a soft surface (non-marring) to work on and a firm surface when you press down more. The diagrams have been very useful.

I have always seen people use these mats on YouTube video and movies and have been dying to get on. This is a wonderful product. The step by step instructions and the exploded views help remind me what goes where and the non slip surface keeps p[arts from moving around on my work table. I highly recommend this for anyone wishing to care for their firearms.
