The BEST doorbell camera by a landslide! 😍😍😍
After suffering a nightmare of a year with a different brand of camera doorbell, I gave up and invested in this one for the front door. THIS has everything you could dream of! The motion sensor is sensible, so unlike the other brand I had, this one doesn't go off all night long cause it spots a blooming fox! This works seamlessly with Alexa, and once you've got the hang of the settings, you'll soon find that you can have Alexa Show you the doorbell cam live feed, while the doorbell tells your visitors you'll be with them shortly. Which is perfect if you have someone come to the door late at night and you prefer to see them through the Alexa Show BEFORE answering the door, without them leaving cause they think you're not home 😊 Next, there's the absolutely superb camera, night vision and two-way audio! There is a very bright street light at the end of my garden and despite this, the night vision can still show individual blades of grass and each stone in the roughcast wall? That is the kind of details you should expect from a security camera not a doorbell so I am jumping for joy about the camera quality, during the day light the camera is second to none too which makes me feel safe 24/7. You can see for yourself from my pics 🙂 The audio is crystal clear, so much so that it I could hear a smoke detector going off in one of the houses at the other end of the street, when I went onto live view so I have zero complaints there! 😂 As for the recording length? My previous doorbell brand only recorded 30 seconds max, which was useless on both occasions when I actually needed about a minute. This wee beauty records 2 minutes which is fantastic for if someone dodgy comes to your door, and given the amount of scammers who crawl out of the woodwork during a cost of living crisis, having a device like this wee gem works as a deterrent AND records the ones who chance their luck! This is also great for battery life, easy to charge when it's running low on power and wireless, so once it's connected to the WiFi and up, it's good to go for a decent amount of time! Mine was connected and installed in under 3 minutes, (that includes drilling the pilot holes) and has had a constant connection to the wi-fi signal ever since! To give you a comparison, the other doorbell cam this has replaced took 4 hours to try to connect to their own WiFi network, continuously going round in circles trying to connect then disconnecting after I had to change the batteries one time. But this device was seemless, and practically set itself up for me. When this detects motion, I have it set to record the video and it tells all the Alexa's in the house that someone is at the front door, so even if I'm in the kitchen with the washing machine going, I don't need to worry that I've missed someone at the door. That was my first one of these! I loved it so much I bought another one for the babies nursery as she's just went into her toddler bed and it's set up to alert me when she gets up out of bed. She's only one and a half, so having the motion sensor activate as soon as she's up and about is worth every penny cause anything can happen in a very short space of time with wee ones that young! The motion sensor in the nursery doorbell cam is phenomenal! She can toss and turn though the night, and it will do nothing, but as soon as her feet start dangling of her wee bed, the motion detector kicks in and tells my bedroom Alexa that the baby is up! I have the nursery doorbell cam set up to turn her nursery light on, my room lamp on, and the living room lights on when motion is detected in her room. I also have the "wait" feature set in the Alexa app so that the motion sensor doesn't put the nursery light on when I'm putting her to bed at night which is an awesome little known feature! I also have the nursery doorbell cam send a live feed to my bedroom Alexa so I can see her as soon as the motion detector goes off in the morning, enabling me to reassure her through the speaker that mummy will be there in a wee minute so she knows she not all alone. As you can see from my photos, the camera can see the details on her radiator and her chair in the nursery in the pitch black! She has a proper blackout blind, with blackout fabric behind it, and the hall light was off when I took this photo, so there was ZERO light getting into her room! Despite this, the level of detail in this doorbell camera is the best quality I've found in a night vision camera. It even picks up on the difference in shade on her velvet chair as you can see from my picture. It is so crystal clear that I can see if her eyes are open or closed which is priceless. Also, the audio is so clear that when her wee baby snores start, it picks up the sound perfectly enough that Alexa can the stop playing her soothing bedtime music, cause the doorbell detected she was asleep 😍 This is exactly what I need from my devices! Peace of mind, quality, security and convenience and this wee doorbell has all of those in bucket-loads! So much so, that I've just purchased a third one for the back door/garden now too 😂 All in all, if you are looking for a doorbell camera THIS is definitely the one to get!☺️

Great investment for home security!
I have been wanting one of these for a while, and finally committed when I moved into a new house, and I am so glad I did. Although I am not a fan of needing to pay for a subscription to be able to view footage on the camera I purchased, on the internet I pay for, I understand why it happens. The battery life is much better than I thought it would be, and I am excited to see how it is when I upgrade to the solar charger. Using the app with the camera and the Chime I purchased is super easy, and also customizable which I love. The notifications I get when people are recognized at my door are very convenient, and the quality is amazing. Being able to go back and see again who was seen, and the ability to easily export the footage is a great feature. I recommend anyone who is on the fence about this, to just go for it and you'll love it!

Better than I expected
My wife really wanted a Ring doorbell for when I'm not at home and as added security but also for things such as deliveries when we're both out. I was a bit apprehensive, because I believe it's better not to know what's going on outside but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The motion detection works really well, maybe too well because it picks up every little thing. I have actually turned off the motion notifications because there were too many and if I want to change the area to trigger motion, it would cut out important parts that I want to keep in. The doorbell itself works really well too, if only people would use it... The postie must be blind, because he knocks on the door instead of ringing the bell:/ The WiFi signal to the unit shows are orange in the app, and the router is on the other side of the house. It doesn't seem an issue and videos are clear and fast to access. I bought this on black Friday at £60, which I found expensive at the time, but now I've experienced and used it, I don't think it's that expensive and well worth it to put my wife's mind at ease. In summary, I believe its a worthwhile investment. The app is great, its easy to use and unobtrusive. The kids also love it! They always talk to it when leaving and coming home from school.

Still playing with the settings but it works
I'm still fiddling with the settings and the motion detection but it works well. I haven't had to try night vision as the lights outside the flats are on 24/7 so I can't comment on that. I like having the ability to focus where the motion sensors pick up anything, we have a set of stairs by our door so if anyone goes upstairs it does trigger it, but it's been fun to play with at least. The battery is OK, thought I'd charged it up on day 1 but it hadn't for some reason, so by day 3 it was alerting me that the battery was at 30% but its easy to unscrew to take inside to charge. Battery was at 90% after a couple of days, but we do get some foot traffic so I assume that's the reason even though I have toned down the sensitivity. It's easy to set up and connect to the app, some reviews said people had issues with connection and, whilst ours does sometimes say it has poor WiFi connectivity, it still works and it's not that close to the Internet box thing so i haven't had to move the box and it all works OK. Picture quality is good but I have turned the sound off because, personally, I wasn't sure where we stood legally as it does cover the entrance to the flats, but we've had a lot of random people coming round periodically, we had someone use our address for some reason so I've had some dodgy people at the door before, but the camera puts them off. It also covers quite a wide area, I've adjusted the focus area a bit to help save battery, but I'm happy with it. It was worth buying, you can adjust the settings so it isn't triggered by every small movement and I've got the subscription so I can use all the extras that you don't get without the subscription, although it's a shame it's £4 a month. Still better than I thought it was going to be.

Great doorbell and no issues
So I took a punt on buying this as there are so many terrible reviews. My experience has been different and I’ve found the doorbell works perfectly. Here were my worries based on what people have written 1. Wi-Fi doesn’t work or drops out (even when close to the unit) - I have had no drop out at all after 1 week of operation 2. Battery life is terrible - I gave the unit a full charge when arrived, and after 1 week the battery is at 96%. Notifications are on albeit I reduced sensitivity and a number of deliveries throughout the week. 3. Delay in the call alerts over devices when the bell is pushed - I have a few echo devices around the house and mobiles and they all alert immediately when the bell is pressed. My echo show automatically loads the live view where I can talk to the delivery guy. 4. Annoying notifications. I quickly found the sensitivity was easy to adjust on the ring app and I don’t get false alarms I love the fact that the ring app allows notification schedules which I have set to alert if someone is at the front of the house. The echo devices says that it has detected movement. I’ve set the schedule for the night, so it’s a good security device. I’ve found the picture quality is great and the app replay for any detections and doorbell rings is easy to use. I don’t know whether some peoples problems are because their Wi-Fi is old and/or they didn’t give the battery a long first charge I definitely recommend this device 😀

Brilliant!
Well, i've had this Ring doorbell a couple of weeks now and i'm very pleased with it, although there is one issue. Notifications on my phone are taking 30 secs to 1 min to come through, which seems to be a common complaint from other sites i've read reviews on. Ring seem to always say it's slow wifi to blame, but it isn't. I have 500mb broadband and by my front door, i have download speeds of 20mb, so i know it isn't the wifi. So, what i've done, is installed the app on my tablets and linked it to Alexa, which appears to be much better, as notifications are near instant!. Something i think should have been put on the camera, is an SD card slot to record motion, rather than be forced to subcribe to a cloud system, which apparently is now £5 per month. The camera itself is brilliant, easy to set up and very sharp picture wise, even at night. Audio is superb on the two way speaker and recording. I don't know how long the battery would last, because i purchased the adaptor for it and hardwired it, as i don't want to be charging the battery all the time. I also purchased the Ring chime as well, which is easy to set up and provides extra warning. All in all, great camera and well worth the money. One thing i am reading alot about, is that this camera comes with two security screws for the bottom, but people are losing them and sticking wood screws in instead, DON'T, because you will screw into the battery and short it out, so if you lose the screws, get onto Ring who will send replacements.
