Will this work better then a drop of dish soap to really get my foliar to spread and stick?

Yucca will absolutely work as a wetting agent as will so many other products designed as such, however on any HOME application I've never found one that was worth the sometimes tremendous difference in price over simple and readily available Ivory soap. It clearly states right on the bottle "Ivory contains biodegradable surfactants and no phosphate". Exactly what your looking for and it's been used for decades for this very purpose. Save yourself a ton of money and it will also double as a drip lubrication system part lubricant as well if you need it. Ivory costs $2.67 at Wallyworld so at one drop per gallon that's pretty cheap for a lifetime supply. There are also no claims of any nutritional value on the Raw Yucca packaging or company website so I'm not sure what the basis of that information was. Finally, 50% of the product weight is Maltodextrin which I'm surmising is nothing but a filling agent to increase profits yet more. So no from forty years of growing and teaching experience, this will not work better than a drop Ivory of dish soap.

why isn't there a expiration date on product?

No idea on that. However the product must be the consistency of flour. If it's lumpy, you will have to use a sifter to smooth it out. 1/16 tsp per 5 gallons during all veg and bloom stages. 1/16 tsp per gallon during flush. This is a great product.

is this suitable for use in hydro?

Yucca is a wetting agent for soil or soil less media. It makes water wetter so it spreads through the media better. You don`t need it if you are using Rockwool.

Does this make the solution more acidic because of the maltodexterin?

I did check before and after, it had no effect of pH at the suggested application rate.
