Some species are known to grow as much as 3 feet per day ! There are literally thousands of species of bamboo but not all bamboo are created equal. Some of the bamboo are best suited for other things. The bamboo used for this product is call iron bamboo, strong and durable to ensure lost lasting use. We have made it easy to set up with minimal assembly required. This table features a lattice bottom shelf to store your copies of the Naturalist or Conde Nast to Vogue. The bamboo is sturdy but not terribly attractive
UPDATE: I painted this table with gold acrylic paint and it looks terrific. It's been inside and outside over the last couple years and is in excellent shape, just needs a little tightening after being moved about a few times. I'm upgrading to four stars because it's proven to be strong and useful and I appreciate it more than I expected.This is a serviceable piece that was just right for my needs and a very fair price. The bamboo is sturdy but not terribly attractive, and would look better painted. Once you fold the legs out they have to be screwed in place, so to call it "folding" is a little misleading because to fold it back you have to get out your toolbox again.

Product Suggestion
A nice product. The only drawback is the hinges are too light duty for the weight of the legs & table. The pins in the hinges fall out and the hinges can bend. With a little reinforcment, it's nothing that can't be easily fixed.
