Exceptional light-absorbing properties
As a photographer constantly on the lookout for the perfect backdrop to elevate my shots, I recently stumbled upon the Black Velvet Photo backdrop, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. Upon receiving the backdrop, I was initially concerned as it came folded and slightly wrinkled. However, any worries dissipated as soon as I began ironing it. Surprisingly, the wrinkles smoothed out effortlessly, leaving behind a flawless surface ready for shooting. The most striking feature of this backdrop is its intense black color. It's deep, rich, and absorbs light like a dream. I am doing product shots, and the black velvet provides the perfect canvas, enhancing the subject and adding a touch of elegance to every image. One of the biggest challenges with backdrops is ensuring they don't reflect light, causing unwanted glare or distractions in the frame. With this velvet backdrop, that concern is a thing of the past. Its velvety texture absorbs light beautifully, resulting in crisp, professional-looking photos every time. Overall, I couldn't be more impressed with the Black Velvet Photo backdrop. Its exceptional light-absorbing properties exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're in the market for a high-quality backdrop that delivers stunning results, look no further.

Velvet material - Large - does exactly what it says it will do!
This does not come with a stand. The material is a velvet material. It will pick up any dust around and it needs cleaning before every photo. Invest in a good lint brush. It’s large and good size. It’s a great value for the money. I fold mine back before I use it every time to avoid dust so I have to iron it before every use. It’s exact like the color shown. The quality is good. If you know what you are buying and willing to put in the work to keep it nice and clean this is perfect.

Surprisingly Effective Light Eating Fabric!
I bought one panel from this company years back but never actually used it. I finally needed it and this is working out so well I bought two more of the same 100cm x150cm pieces. I use this below a pair of bright softboxes for shooting YouTube videos and hang the fabric on a 10' section of electrical conduit using these clips: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N4H9JYR/ I've included here a very overexposed pic here from my phone and you can see just how black this stuff is, it almost looks like a black mask in Photoshop! I bought 3 panels instead of the single larger fabric panel so I can more easily get to my storage boxes behind the fabric. I've just now ordered some cheap plastic (and thin) paint tarp material, also here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KVLH93O/ I'll fashion something like a dry cleaning bag so when not in use, I can slide all the fabric together, bag it and that should keep errant dust away. I imagine you want to keep this material as clean as possible to be as effective as possible. Last, it does come folded up and my first thought was that these folds would show up in camera. As you can see in the image here, they don't with a little careful lighting. I'm primarily shooting video, and these panels do a great job!

erThree brand 5 feet x 10 feet , black velvet sheets
150 cm x 300 cm , sheets using for projection room . thumb tac on walls. Two sheets each wall. painted ceiling with ultra Flat black paint, roll on. paint helps( ceiling reflection is still seen ) these black felt sheets are way better. now thinking about putting one or two sheets tac'd to ceiling. for ambient light, the Felt remains Black. sure, shine a flash light up close and direcly on the Felt ant it shows a white bright spot just like on silver ticket str6 black felt bezel. these felt sheets greatly out perform ultra flat black paint. 2 benefits : a. improved contrast. b. no video image distraction on walls and ceiling.

Disappointed
I bought this to use as a background for closeup photography. While the cloth is large enough for what I wanted, I haven't been able to get the creases out of it from the way it was packaged. One suggestion was to use a steamer but I don't particularly want to purchase a steamer just for that. We tried dewrinkling it in our drier but that was unsuccessful.

Not good for photography
this item does not absorb light well enough! it also comes folded and not rolled, which creates visible lines in the fabric! my black paper back drop works much better than this. the right kind of black felt can be found in a roll at a fabric & sowing center.

This Thing is BLACKEST!
I am a photographer who likes to shoot small products in a tabletop set. Photographically, there is black, blacker, and blackest. Black velvet will absorb more than 95% of the light incident, but it is very expensive. Black velour is less expensive but still $pendy. Black background paper is almost impossible to photograph black unless you keep all light off it, but that depends on where the lights are for the product. I'd been pricing black velour when I noticed this Erthree Black Velvet. It isn't velvet, but it performs like velvet, sopping up the light so the background goes dead black, not gray like paper. It is strong, lightweight, and most of all, light-absorbing as velvet for a tiny fraction of the price. The second picture was shot on regular black paper. You see that it photographs gray, not anywhere near black.

Just a piece of cloth....rip off

The picture illustrated the cloth draped over a collapsible stand yet the stand is not shipped with the cloth. Had I know this I may have ordered the additional stand or not ordered the item in the first place. I feel deceived...

Very over-priced but not worth the cost and hassle of returning it. You can get pretty much the same thing for a small fraction of the price at a decent fabric shop. I know, I've done so previously. More importantly, the product illustration is VERY misleading - it gives the appearance of including a support, which if true, would have been a good deal. The ONLY way to determine that a stand is not included is to expand the product page and look carefully for what's included. Only by reasoning from omission there can you reasonably infer that no support is included . I do feel quite ripped off on this purchase.
