Ordered this after I started getting a message on the dash of my 2012 E350 that my auxiliary battery was low. What auxiliary battery? Never had one before. Watched a couple of You Tube videos, then ordered this. Yesterday, I put it in. The auxiliary battery is in different places, depending on the year and model. Mine was behind the dash, on the driver's side. Saw one video says unsnap the plastic panel on the left end of the dash, reach in, pull the old one out and put the new one in. Said nothing about disconnecting the main battery. There's a rectangular opening on the side of the dash, visible once you remove the side panel, but it was too small for me to get my hands through. After scraping the crap out of my left hand, I watched another video that warned me to disconnect the main battery (it's enough to disconnect the negative terminal; you don't have to remove both, or remove the battery). Plus, the guy suggested removing the bottom driver's side dash panel for much easier access to the auxiliary battery. The lower dash panel is held on with 3 no. 25 torx screws. Once that's out of the way (and there are a few electrical plugs to disconnect, but that's easy if you have one eye and half sense), you can reach up and get to the auxiliary battery. The bracket comes off after unscrewing a 10 mm bolt accessible behind the side panel, then the battery unsnaps from the bracket, and there are two wires (with color-coded terminals) to unplug. Then, re-assemble with the new battery, put the covers back on, and re-connect the negative terminal of the main battery. Except for being hard on my back to bend over and look up while on my knees, it was really pretty easy. Started the car, everything worked and it didn't catch fire or anything. Obviously, at this point I have no idea how long the battery will last, but so far, so good. I do highly recommend watching a couple of You Tube videos before beginning the job.

My car had been warning me for a while about faulty auxiliary battery. I finally decided to get a new one. The delivery time was pretty fast and the price was extremely competitive (I compare everything!) It fits my GLA-250 perfectly and was super easy to install. No need to go pay for the dealer to do it!

AMAZON SAID IT FITS 2015 GL450 AND THE SELLER (GonWalt LLC) SAID THE SAME, BUT BOTH OF THEM WERE INCORRECT. THE ACTUAL BETTERY IS NOT LOCATED WITH THE MAIN BETTARY AND THE SIZE IS 3 TIMES BIGGER THAN THIS PRODUCT. I RETURNED IT, BUT IT WAS NOT FREE. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING TO BAKERSFIELD, CA. AMAZON ASKED ME TO DEAL WITH THE SELLER AND SELLER DIDN'T WANT TO ISSUE "PAID SHIPPING LABEL" AS OF TODAY, JANUARY 3, 2026

My auxiliary battery needed replacing and no stores in the are carried the one needed. We found this battery and took a chance on getting it, especially since we compared it with the battery needing replacing. The battery is a perfect match and the error message is now gone.
