Exactly what we needed
When we first received this, I thought that they’d sent the wrong product. No directions were included, and it looked like one small roll of cellophane. My husband suggested googling “how to tint windows,” and it was easy to find a YouTube video that was very helpful. So this is what I wish I’d known ahead of time: Cut film to approximate size (a couple inches too big on all sides). Clean glass well — I scraped it smooth with a razor, and used window cleaner. Spray glass thoroughly w/ water (from spray bottle containing water and 3 drops of Dawn). Take two pieces of tape — I used a stronger mailing tape, and place on corner of film — when you pull pieces of tape apart, film separates (discard clear side). Starting from one edge of the glass, gently roll film onto glass. Use squeegee to gently remove all water and air bubbles from between film and glass; if you spray film w/ water first, it’s easier to squeegee. Wipe both sides of glass w/ clean soft cloth (like an old cotton t-shirt), and hold up to light to see if you need to squeegee a bit more. Film is slightly sticky, but manageable enough to remove air bubbles after placement. We used this to tint a window for a cabinet door. It took me two tries, but it looks great. BTW, in case you didn’t know (like I didn’t), the percentage refers to how much light the tint lets through — the higher the percentage, the lighter the tint. ~Jen E.

Good, but very thin.
Holds up great and looks good. You do need do be extra careful with the film as it is on the thinner side. I would still recommend it if you know what you are doing. Installing this without prior experience is definitely not recommended. Make sure you use a fresh blade to cut it and go slow when you are peeling the backside. Pull back on both sides evenly to avoid creasing.

Nice film, best if you've had experience.
We purchased this film for a 1981 fire rescue truck we've turned into a food truck. The windows on the truck are so tall, driving in bright sun or towards sunset became problematic. This film was as described, and fairly easy to install, though we had a sign company for years and had some experience installing vinyl. (Your experience may vary). Suggest creating "tabs" of folded over clear tape on both sides of at a corner of the piece so you can pull the two layers apart easily and tell which side is the film and which is the clear backing. Don't forget to use a water spray on the window so you can adjust the film before pressing it on. Use a scraper from the center out, both up and down to push bubbles out. As the film dries over time any leftover minor bubbles should evaporate, but get out as many as possible.

Extremely poor quality film.
Despite the overwhelming negative reviews, I took the chance. I wanted to tint my beater car and didn't care about a perfect job. This tint was difficult to work with, would not mold with a heat gun, easily creased, and was hazy. I wasted 3 hours trying to install it. I couldn't see due to the haze and ripped it out a day later. A complete waste of time and money.

Cheap quality
Film was much harder to shrink than other brands. I easily pinched certain quarters of the window so I had to redo entirely. Other than that the appearance seemed to look okay. The film wasn’t purple when I put it to the light and the adhesive was pretty decent. This is a good product if you’re a beginner or new to tinting.

tricky but great product
No instructions came with the product. So that would have given less stars if the product wasn't as good as it is. LOOK ONLINE FOR INSTRUCTIONS- they are on the Amazon description. If you don't read the directions, you will have problems. Bought to reduce glare in my Town & Country minivan. Really helps. We drive a minimum of 4 hours/day, and really needed to cut the glare (windshield- we applied as per our state's laws) and cab windows (we were getting sunspots from long hours driving).

Great tint, pretty easy to hang once you get the hang of it
This tint arrived in great condition. The tint was easy to use except when you have to separate the tint from the backing (which is true of any tint). I suggest using tape to help pull the tint away from the backing without damaging the tint or getting it stuck. Use a lot of spray to keep everything lubricated. No extra crinkles (until we tried separating the tint and backing without using tape!) 50% heat rejection sounds like a lot but I've found it really isn't. Also, it does not look weird or out of place when looking at the window from outside the home.

I received this tint and applied to side windows of my truck. Went as it should. Noticed wrinkles in the center from top to bottom. They will not come out. Now I have to remove and fight with the glue on the glass.

Didn't come with any wrinkles or anything. Product felt good for the price. Film is still pretty thin so it was challenging to slide around, but once it was in place it stuck perfect to the window.
