Head’s Up Party Game 4th Edition, Word Guessing Board Game for Kids and Families Ages 8 and up

Such a fun game. Like charades but better!!

Original order took way too long and the 3rd edition was received; not 4th as advertised. Seller was terrific and honored return; shipping replacement out immediately. This game is hours of fun family time. Available online but playing by hand so much more entertaining.

Although I returned the Heads Up that we originally bought on "The Big A" (it didn't arrive w/in 2 day-guaranteed time & we needed for Sat night - so I deducted one star) BUT we did buy elsewhere (at a higher price) & we really liked it (the game, not the higher price :) Actually, we never heard of Heads Up, but it was our turn to bring a new game to Game Night, so based on the great reviews, we took a chance & so glad we did! Everyone enjoyed playing because it has something different for everyone. At first glance, it seems the same as Charades but upon reading the "How To Play", it's different in that each player gets to CHOOSE how to give the clues. Each card is guessed in one of four ways: "Act It Out" (like Charades); "Sound It Out" (sounds only, no words); "Superstars" (w/o saying certain things); and, Blockbuster Movies" (w/o naming who was in it) -- sounds complicated but it's not - at all. It took eight of us, after a few bottles of wine, about 10 minutes to figure it out -- sooo, figure 3 minutes w/o wine!! Also, funnier with wine, are the Blue Plastic Headbands, which have a slot for the Answer Card, and are put on the "Guesser's" head (he or she can't see the card), while his/her team-mates give clues based on the card. FAIR WARNING: Unless you want to end up on FB looking like a fool, confiscate all cell phones!!

My daughter used her phone to show us this game. Then I saw it advertised on T.V. and just had to buy it for family get-togethers. So nice to see the texting stop for awhile and have great family fun.

Ordered this for our company employee holiday party. This game is so much fun. You’re on the clock and times ticking and you’re rushing to explain the word you have and racking your brain trying to find the best way to describe it. Play this all the time. All kinds of categories included

This game was perfect, even my 7 year old was able to play along and guess correctly. I recommend this game for anyone with young children and us old adults.

I gave this game 3 stars mainly because I loved laughing with my friends watching them try to get their answer across for me to guess. The downfall was we had gone through all of the cards pretty much in a matter of playing 3 (different) times. I understand when different people play the game the beauty of it is not everyone acts out, or hums, or etc the same way, but I have the same group of friends who get together often so we felt we were picking and choosing through cards to see which we had played before and it stalled the game. We talked about making our own cards which is an option, but I was dissappointed with the amount of cards that came in the game. Maybe im just being picky, but we love playing games, and its just not a game we reach for now until we buy or make other cards.

I played this on Christmas with my mom. It was a lot of fun. It made me laugh when I saw the card with Ellen and Kate Middleton. Her "cousin." Ellen always mentions Kate on her show. Love this game!!
