Simple and Reliable Adapter
Worked exactly as expected. Easy to connect and good build quality. Helped power older drives with no issues.

*** CAUTION *** 12v (Yellow) and 5v (Red) reversed compared to Samsung/Lorex Systems!!!
Cables consistent with photos where the red and yellow wires are reversed compared to my Samsung/Lorex security DVRs. I tested the motherboards and confirmed the voltages. I swapped the yellow and red wires of the cable at the motherboard plug. I pressed the small metal retaining tabs with voltmeter probe tip and the wires slipped out of the plug without damaging anything and snapped back into place after I swapped positions. I'm sure I would have damaged my motherboard or the hard drive or both had I not swapped the 5v and 12v wires. The seller clearly stated this hazard. Very happy with the function and price of the cables and do recommend them.

what I needed for HiVision
For HikVision internal hard drive. square pins for the Molex power connection and female sata for the internal SATA HHD drive. Also get some vibration resistant screws to mount the SATA drive to the metal case
