Imported. Leather upper. Laced closure. Hand Wash. Review: Very good shoes for hiking - The Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus is a popular hiking boot designed for women. Here are some key features and aspects that I have seen: Durability: it can withstand rough terrains and harsh weather conditions. The construction and materials used are known for their sturdiness. Comfort: very comfortable, with a supportive midsole and cushioning that helps absorb shock while walking on uneven terrain. However, comfort can be subjective, and it's recommended to try them on personally to ensure they fit your feet well. Traction: The outsole of the Newton Ridge Plus is designed to provide good traction on various surfaces, including wet and slippery conditions. This feature is important for maintaining stability and preventing slips on hiking trails. Waterproofing: Its waterproofing capabilities, which help keep their feet dry in wet conditions. The upper material is typically made from a combination of leather, suede, and mesh, providing a balance of breathability and protection. Fit and Sizing: Some reviewers have mentioned that the boot tends to run slightly small or narrow, so it's often recommended to consider sizing up or trying them on before purchasing. Everyone's feet are different, so finding the right fit is crucial for optimal comfort. It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and the best way to assess the suitability of the Columbia Women's Newton Ridge Plus hiking boot is to read multiple reviews from reliable sources and try them on personally if possible. Additionally, considering your specific hiking needs and preferences can also help determine if these boots are the right choice for you. Review: Stylish, Sturdy, and Perfect for the Trail! - The Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus hiking boots are the perfect mix of functionality and style. They’re lightweight yet rugged, offering great ankle support and traction for all kinds of terrain. Whether you’re tackling rocky trails or muddy paths, these boots keep your feet dry and comfortable, thanks to their waterproof construction. Breaking them in was surprisingly easy—no blisters or discomfort, which is a huge win for hiking boots. The cushioning feels great even on long hikes, and they have just enough flexibility to keep your steps natural while still feeling stable. The only downside? They can run slightly narrow, so if you have wider feet, you might want to size up or opt for a wide fit. Also, while they’re perfect for most hikes, they might feel a bit heavy for casual walks or city wear. Overall, these boots are an excellent choice for anyone who loves outdoor adventures but doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort or style. Durable, supportive, and built to last! 4.7/5

Great quality, but runs small
bought these Columbia winter boots for a winter trip. I normally wear size 36 and ordered 36, but they fit a bit small. I didn’t have time to exchange them. Despite that, the boots are really high-quality, stylish, and very warm. I also got them at an extremely good price during a sale. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

Definitely worth every single penny
Amazing fit. I wear barefoot shoes , abd I avoid buying boots that restrict my toe alignment, my ankles , abd so on. However, these are incredible. True to size, not too tight , but at the same time , they keep the foot in place. I'm surprised honestly.

Great shoe and value for money!
Purchased it for my wife. The shoe is well built and feels very snug after wearing. It is comfortable to walk in despite being slightly on the heavier side compared to some other brands. Recommended.

Fantastic hiking boots, size up.
They run a little bit small. I’m usually a size 5.5 (38.5), I got them in size 6 (39) and they fit perfectly. These boots are super comfortable with great ankle support. They are also durable. I just did a 10 km hike on a rocky mountain with them, climbing cliffs etc., and after a good wipe they still look new, not a scratch. They are also waterproof. They didn’t give me any blisters, and they have a great grip.

Bought these for hiking in Colorado, they worked great on rocky, muddy, and snowy trails. Hadn’t broken them in at all, but were perfectly comfortable from the first time I put them on.

***2nd Update- it's been 3 years and these boots are still going strong! I have recommended them to everyone I know who has even a semi-active lifestyle. I wear them probably 5 times a week and there are no soft spots on the soles, no thread tears/holes. They still look fantastic. Over the course of 7 days, my husband and I walked 96 miles at Disney World. My sneakers gave me blisters halfway through Day 1. I switched to these boots and, while I didn't win any beauty contest for wearing shorts and boots, I did save myself and my feet from a lot of pain! **Update- Well, I've had these for seven months and they've become my everyday work shoe. I originally bought them for a month-long trip to Europe; my feet are usually very easily blistered, but even after a month of endless walking, I never once even had sore feet. When I got home from the trip, I started wearing them to work. I love that they give so much support without looking like a clunky hiking boot. I can't recommend this enough, best purchase of 2017.** I want to start off by saying that these are the first pair of hiking boots I've ever owned--so I have nothing to compare them to other than regular tennis shoes. I bought these in my true size despite some reviews saying to buy a size up--but these fit perfectly so it worked out great. I wear padded hiking crew socks with these and there's enough room in the shoes without getting that "too tight" feeling. The first day I wore them, my ankles were sore and I nearly returned them but then I discovered that there are different lacing techniques to fix this problem, so I tried the Heel Lock technique and it completely fixed the problem. There was no break-in period, the shoes have been comfortable since day 1 and, as long as you are wearing the right socks, the back doesn't rub and blister the backs of your ankles. I haven't submerged them to test out the waterproof claim, but it rains a lot where I live and my feet are never wet after trudging through rain puddles. Very happy with the purchase and I highly recommend these shoes

Parecen resistentes. Sólo he andado 6km, pero bien. Quedan muy bien puestas. La talla es un poco olgada. Tal vez en vez del 40, el intermedio ajustaba mejor, pero muy cómodas
