Boot can now close
Perfect replacement, sadly the boot on my golf decided not to lock properly, this simple fix was all I needed

Good quality fitted VW mk5 2008
Can now close my bonnet! Easy to install. t30 and T25 bits needed, recommend ratchet socket to install but not required. Mine heavily rusted so took some time to clean out and spray the bits as had impacted dirt too...looks a pain if you rounded these. Came with clips to route bonnet open cable. My old one had the bonnet cable routed through a sealed plastic bottom which attaches to the old unit so I reused that instead of the plastic part that came with the new product. Put a zip tie round it to ensure it doesn't dislodge when installing (did that with the old one when it played up a few years ago and it was still intact). Make sure to test the product before closing down the bonnet (pushed a screwdriver down to immitate the bonnet then tested it released successfully). Very happy with it. Bxe 1.9tdi 2008
