Lenovo ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock-40AY0090

Gosh! I'm really pleased (so far) with this dock. Evidently my issue was with my other dock...a screen losing connection and reconnecting a second or two later. Really irritating! This dock has provided a stable connection (so far) and even the displays seem to be brighter! This dock came with a 90W power supply which would be adequate. My other dock had a 135W power supply which I used instead to provide a quicker charge to the laptop. Easy to set up and a smaller footprint on my desk. I'll post more if the dock begins acting up.

In general I have preferred desktops to laptops. For my recent office PC refresh, though, I opted for a laptop since it had the best performance from the options available to me. However, I didn't relish the prospect of plugging in, and removing, cables whenever I wanted to take the laptop home. Enter this dock - it is smaller than a paperback novel - about the size of two packs of playing cards - and is almost a magical device. I can plug in two monitors, an Ethernet cable, a dongle for a wireless keyboard and mouse, an external drive, and a printer, with a port left over. And the brilliant part is that there is only a single connection to my laptop. The data for all these devices, and the power for the laptop, is fed through just one USB cable! What's not to love about that setup? And I can even keep the laptop closed if I want to just work with the two external monitors...

The product worked great for 6 months until it failed but the seller responded within an hour and replaced the defective product with a new one within 2 days. Thank you!

Sent me a scratched up used unit when I definitely clicked on the "NEW" and not the refurbished when I bought. Also this one is not supporting dual monitors which is what the last one is doing that I also bought from these people. Beware of any of their products.

I've used Lenovo products for years and this is a great docking station with plenty of connections and options to attach your peripherals. I ding it one star because occasionally when the laptop is running but the screen/display is asleep, it will not wake up the monitors attached to the dock. It is easy to fix by unplugging and plugging in the USB-C connector, but it should wake up the screens. The laptop always wakes up, but the attached displays to the dock don't always wake up.

This docking station really works cool. It runs two extra monitors and only requires 1 cable going to my laptop. Amazingly effective and simplifies my routine , as I travel a lot. I just plop my laptop on my home desk and voila! Instant functional business. It has several usb charge ports and c ports and a wake button that is easy to reach and press. Why didn't I find this sooner!..... ? It also allows me to keep the travel peripherals in my travel bag permanently from now on. I literally pack my office after calling the uber, by throwing my computer in the bag and tossing some few other things in as well. I will get another one as soon as I go to my other house again this summer.

I bought another one of these. We have two now between two home offices in our house. If you have two monitors, make sure they're not both HDMI-only monitors. You'll either need two Display Port connections (there are two on the dock) or one HDMI and one Display Port. There are NOT two HDMI on this dock. This particular one shipped with a Lenovo charger, a proprietary power cord for the dock, and a USB-C cable to go from the dock to your computer. That single cord is capable of video, data, and power. It is not long, maybe 2ft. In my experience, it's hard to find longer ones of these from the dock to the computer because of some sort of display port over USB-C issue past 2-3ft. I could be totally wrong, but I've run into this on Dell and now this Lenovo dock. The cable that ships with it works great though. Would order again. Can't think of anything we need that this dock doesn't have on it.

Works perfectly for my home office setup. I have a company-provided Lenovo ThinkPad and this makes docking at home simple. It has multiple monitor setups, although only one HDMMI port - need converters for the other video ports. It only has one USB-C input port, but I used a couple of USB-A to USB-C converters for a few peripherals. The USB-C cable it comes with for the PC is just long enough and soft/flexible so it's easy to plug in. It's pricey, but I wanted a Lenovo-branded device and some of the generic ones are more port extenders and I'm not a fan of the ones that have ports on all sides.

Fast delivery and quality is better than expected. The latest firmware is applied without issue. All ports work as normal.
