Kumon Grade 1 Word Problems (Kumon Math Workbooks)

I purchased this to support my daughter in practicing various first-grade subjects. The book follows the same program as her school, making it easy to understand and a helpful resource for her practice. I feel confident it will make learning more enjoyable for her.

So easy to follow the questions, my daughter loves yo use it for her enrichment.

My 5yo loves numbers and is fairly quick with simple math. I love that he is getting some reading practice a long with having to come up with his own number sentences, since solving the number sentence is the easy part for him.

My son is fantastic at basic arithmetic however lacks language skills to complete word problems. The Kumon book helped him gain math vocabulary to complete word problems. The problems had easy math but student has to determine that you must use subtraction in more than / less than / the difference between questions. As well as addition in all together, in all, the sum of, the total questions. This helped to expose him to the different ways problems are asked. And helped him to carry that vocabulary when reasoning through more difficult problems. I would recommend this for intro to arithmatic students as the problems are easy and repetitive so that your student can get practice with the basics, but also become familiar with the different ways a problem can be posed. I haven't tried grade 2 yet, but will definitely give it a try!

These books give a lot of knowledge to kids in and around 6-7 years. I was looking to get these books and understand what they especially give to kids in the Kuman centers. Now we can understand this will give/add value to kids' education. It comes with many match problems and ways to read. Price is also affordable so that we can purchase and engage kids.

The child writes every day. The quality is good and the content is also excellent.

Me encanta estos libros lo compré por primera vez en el 2016 mi niño necesitaba aprender a sumar y a restar dividir a resolver problemas esto le alluda mucho no tuvo ningún problema en su escuela siempre me decían los maestros que era muy bueno en matemáticas ahora lo estoy comprando para mi otro niño que ya empezó en la primaria y los maestros me comentan lo mismo que no tiene ningún problema con matemáticas al principio pensaba que no eran buenos libros porque te repiten las mismas suma y después alrrevez pero me equivoqué .no se van arrepentir.

We got this for our 1st grader as a supplement to what they're learning in school. It's a great way to practice math word problems and learn key math terms they will need to know. There are quite a number of problems per page, so it's also a good value. Kumon also has tips for the parents to help assist children with the math problems so you have some basic guidance on how to use the book and work the problems together if needed.
